I love watching TV from Britain. Picking up all the slang and idioms. Its also interesting seeing how they see the US,and how they think the US views them.

Not quite the same without the Tom character, but still intriguing

Well worth checking this series out on DVD where the episodes are an hour long. Gripping, intelligent drama.

I need to use my England English to American English dictionary when trying to watch MI-5, but I *think* it's good. It's almost as good as The Agency.

It's griping, intelligent, and well-written. The plot for each episode is detailed and complicated and the story arcs for characters are gripping and, at times, nerve wracking. The season's finale cliffhanger is the first since the X-Files Season three where I've actually screamed and then cursed the wait until a new season, and actually discussed and rehashed the ep with friends. Wonderful series: better than ANYTHING on network TV.

An edge of your seat thrill ride.

Not many programs earn my husband's rating of "gripping" but this is one of the few shows on that he is eager to see every week. Somewhat reminiscent of one of my favorite old British spy shows, "The Sandbaggers", MI-5 is intelligently written, has an excellent cast, and is able to maintain a high level of excitement and interest without extraneous car chases, shootouts, jiu jitsu fights, and irrelevant side plots that don't advance the story or character development. For example, although I am a big fan of "24", the series could do without the ridiculous predicaments Jack's airhead daughter gets herself into.
