Yes. But this one I'd rather leave unexplained.

The caramel in the Caramilk bar is a bigger mystery.

I must say that I don't know very much about this, have never seen them, and do agree that it is a fairly boring mystery. There doesn't seem to be any explanation that could make sense, so I say employ Occam's Razor: That one should not increase, beyond what is necessary, the number of entities required to explain anything- basically that one should not make more assumptions then the minimum needed. Maybe the problem of explaining how the rocks are moving is a violation of this principle because it assumes the rocks are moving. The correct question should be to determine the origin of the trails and not assume that they are the result of the rocks being dragged, becasue they could be the result of weather conditions and the rocks presence warps the area. Anyway who knows...

Proving that even rocks, if given enough time, will develop a sense of humor.

I find this phenomenon rather fascinating. The tracks left by the 'moving' rocks are inconsistent with most explanations, as they are almost never in a straight line. Some of the tracks are spiral-shaped, others double back on and cross themselves, and they go in all directions. Some of these rocks are like twenty tons, and I don't care how strong the winds are or how slippery the desert floor gets when it rains, weather patterns do not cause this. And a localized magnetic field (the rocks contain iron ore) wouldn't account for all the strange excursions the rocks take. The only thing I can thing of is that there are top secret experiments going on that manipulate small regions of the earth's magnetic field, but even that is pretty far fetched. There must be a stupidly simple explanation for this, but we haven't figured it out yet.
