Doug is a sincere guy, but more importantly everything he teaches comes straight from the Bible with a great number of passages to solidify every truth. If you disagree with any of the things he teaches from the Bible, please provide scriptures supporting your idea, and (more importantly) explain the meaning of the multiple verses he gives in support of his idea.

He blenderizes the Bible. He fails to distinguish the differences between what Israel was told and what we are told today as a member of the body of Christ. He mixes law and grace and he does not rightly divide the word of truth so he teaches error.

I am so fortunate to live in a country where we are free to worship & express ourselves! Nothing can compare to quality time with our Creator God, but Pastor Doug is a great friend to have even if you don't always agree with him. Colossians 3:12 "Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience". God Bless Us All!

I've learned more from him than any minister so far. I don't recall any of his teachings even referring to adventists or any other denominations. Simply God's word.

Too many people look to downgrade and attack people. You can surely tell a person's heart by their response.

He is a false teacher. He teaches Israel's law program as Church doctrine today. Israel was under the law. We are under grace. Israel was under a performance based salvation. We are saved by God's grace today. Even Jesus in His earthly ministry was a minister of the circumcision, the Bible says. You as gentiles were uncircumcision and you can read in Ephesians that we were not in Israel's covenant of promise. We were without God. We were not under the law. If you want to study the Bible correctly, you have to rightly divide it. You have to separate who the Bible is talking about, if it is talking to and about Jews under the law or to the body of Christ which is neither Jew or gentile but everyone that trusts Jesus as their Savior. Don't be deceived. This is your salvation we are talking about. What you believe is VERY IMPORTANT. The only thing that will lead you to hell is unbelief.

Pastor Doug, thank you for allowing God to move through you, thanks for helping me be saved. I was once lost, but now I am found! You are a man led by the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is truly in you. It is a beautiful feeling when I learned the Truth, I saw the Truth, and now apply Jesus' teachings in my life. I am calmer, happier, cleaner, and content. Thank you, and may God bless you more with a long life that is spiritually strong and always ready to fight the struggle here on earth from moment to moment of each day. The enemy is like a roaring lion that is ready to devour those who are in the business of saving souls like mine and my kindred spirits. I am now in the Spirit of the Lord God, the Most Omnipotent, Most Omniscient God, thanks to you Pastor Batchelor!

When you have been raised all your life as a Roman Catholic, listening to Mr. Batchelor is painful at first. I became defensive of my religious beliefs. Then I turned to the Baptists, Methodists, Pentecostals for comfort hoping that it will get lighter and easier. But it just got worse and more confusing than ever because they were telling it to me with their own interpretation instead of reading it from the Holy Book exactly the way it is. Doug Batchelor is Spirit-led! He brings the message of God in these last days exactly from the Book. He does not have any hidden agenda in sharing this Truth to us, except for the fact that he is God's messenger of the Good News of Jesus Christ. The True Sabbath of the Lord, which is Saturday and NOT the man-made, man-ordained, and man-fought Sunday, which the Webster Dictionary defined as the first day of the week is sacred according to God. We must obey like in the last days of Noah! I just wish that these other religions will stop confusing me by pushing their own interpretation of the Holy Book. Doug Batchelor reads the Truth from the Holy Book. He does not inject his own human interpretation. May God bless him more with a long precious and abundant life so he may save more lost souls like mine. NOW I AM SAVED.

Very accurate, biblical and humble pastor. I'm pentecostal and when I first heard his message, I never heard someone speak using bible verses so much, in one sermon and speaking so thoroughly, not using the bible out of context, or focusing only on a few verses. I had spoken to many other pastors and those that studied theology but no one had really been accurate. I first heard his message on tv, and flipping through all the channels, almost every other preacher was talking about wealth and prosperity and when I finally got to this channel I heard people that were actually talking about subjects in the word of God that were not going along with what everyone else was saying but what the word of God was saying and that really touched me. And prior to listening to his messages, I was praying and seeking to know the truth from the word of God and to understand the book of revelation. Seeing that there are so many denominations and so many different teachings, that by ourselves, we could just never find that truth. And I felt the Lord and the Holy Spirit really lead me to the truth, starting with listening to his messages. He is a pastor, that more than anything, speaks the TRUTH. The message that Jesus spoke and the message that we should have in our hearts. Sound doctrine that will lead us to Christ.

Beware of the Seventh Day Adventists! They will brainwash you! I know, I was raised one. Took me many years to get them out of my system. This man calls Adventists "The Remmant". I thought the Remmant are Jews. Some Adventist call themselves spiritual Jews. They are mixed up--hopefully they will learn the truth.

Study the Bible for yourself, first and foremost.  Try to read it with an open mind, and try to interpret it on your own, without it being based upon someone elses agenda or interpretation (e.g. Ellen White, SDA's such as Doug Batchelor, et al.).

Skip around in it if you wish, don't feel that you have to read if from cover to cover.  I used to do that and could never get past the first few chapters of Genesis.   The Gospel of John, Proverbs, and Psalms are great for a start.  You will learn so much more reading it on your own without it being based upon someone elses agenda!!  I certainly did.

Adventist really need to study the book of Galations as well.

I was born and raised SDA until God opened my eyes to the solid Gospel.  Adventists are correct in saying that the Sabbath was never changed to Sunday. However, if one understands the covenants and what Christ completed on the cross, then you do not fall for the straw man arguments.  Like it or not, the SDA church has some wonderful, wonderful people yet there are cult-like qualities with one being they claim to be the only true church.  Their evangelism is over 90% sheep stealing from other Christian churches.  While they sound very normal in many respects, there are other doctrines such as the Investigative Judgment and their prophet as a "continuing and authoritative source of truth" that you don't realize right off.

I heard him say last night that the church has replaced Israel. That tells you that he is a false teacher. Israel will have that land and the twelve tribes of Israel will rule and reign in the future. God said they would have that land forever and He does not lie.

It seems that so many other church denomination talk bad about the Seventhday Adventance, calling them an occult, when the truth is they no nothing about the Seventhday Adventance at all, only what they hear. You be your own judge. I also was (notice I said was) a believer that Sunday was the day to worship God (that was a day set aside by man not God, No where in the bible does it say to worship on the first day-Sunday), I believe everyday we should worship our Father God, But Saturday which is the true Sabbath and day of worship. God said it from the very beginning, way before the Ten Commandments (for those who think that the Ten Commandments which God wrote with his finger where done away with) Read your Bible for your self. Doug Batchelor has taught me so much, he makes it so simple and clear and backs all of it up with scripture. What more do you need, the bible explains it all, don't go by what other people say or do, study the bible first hand, don't just browse though, really study.

Doug batchelor is a very passionate preacher who obviously loves God with all his heart. He also is one of the few preachers who has alot of knowledge on a vast amount of biblical subjects which is very rare. He is a genuine person who has been lead by God to reach thousands upon thousands of people and bring them to a relationship with God. I agree with all of doug's beliefs in the bible they are all biblically based and I would dare anyone to prove his beliefs wrong using scripture. About his beliefs in the seventh day as being Gods day I would like to see anyone who doesn't believe this to be so to give just one scripture in the bible in which jesus says clearly that he has changed the day of worship from saturday to sunday. Because the sabbath is part of the ten commandments to believe that there has been a change in these you would have to have a direct scripture showing this change. GOOD LUCK!!

I'm skeptical about everything I listen but if it's in the Word it's in the word. I've followed Doug Batchelor's seminars with the bible and everything that proceeded out of his mouth is bible based. I looked at some of the reviews from people who disagree with Doug Batchelor and it's a pity that they don't give biblical reasoning. The devil is real and so if we depend on feeling or we use bias judgements we will be deceived.God bless!

I have seen a few of Doug Batchelor's seminars as well as having had the priviledge of meeting him in southern California a few years back. He is the genuine article, and his teachings are Biblical and accurate.

We can all find things with anybody that we don't agree with, but it is the Bible, not a man, that we need to make sure we are in harmony with. He has a lot to offer from God's Word.

If you don't agree with everything, accept what you do, and study out the rest. In the end, you are accountable to God for how you live before Him. You will not be able to get in, or claim you're being left out because of Doug Batchelor or any other minister. Any open minded student of God's Word will get a lot from his seminars.

I think Pastor Doug is right on... It is obvious that he has studied his Bible.

Concerning the question about Jesus being Michael the Archangel. 1 Thessalonians
seems to be pretty clear. "The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout"
Obviously it is speaking about Jesus coming with a shout and then It describes his
voice as being "the voice of the Archangel".

Some seem to think that if Jesus is given the name angel that means he can't be God,
but the word angel acording to Strongs number G32 aggelos or ang'-el-os. the
word angel means one who brings tidings (or messenger) Websters dictionary gives
the same as a definition. Arch (Strongs #G757 archo or ar'-kho) means first (in
political rank or power): - reign (rule) over. Websters says Chief; of the
first class; principal; as, an arch deed.

I am not sure what is being objected to... Jesus is obviously God. But
what he did on the cross is un-argueablly the Greatest message of Gods love to
man. So saying he is the Chief messenger does not in any way say he is not God.
On the other hand the other definition fits too. Jesus being ruler over the angels
doesn't make Jesus a created being either any more than the president of the united
states being the commander in Chief of the army makes him an enlisted man.

I just don't see a problem with Jesus being either ruler over the angels or the chief
messenger of God's love.

October 22, 1844 Miller Mistakenly Set a Date for Christ's Return.

by the Staff or associates of Christian History Institute. 1999-2006.

When will Jesus return? Christ warned that no man knows that day and hour. This has not stopped rash theologians from announcing dates. All have subsequently been disappointed by events. One of the most prominent prediction makers was Baptist preacher William Miller.

William Miller and his followers were destined for deep disappointment.

Miller gained a large following, predicting that Christ would return on this day, October 22, 1844. His theories were not far fetched if one accepted interpretations in vogue through much of church history. The argument goes something like this: The prophet Daniel's eighth chapter speaks of 2,300 days. Many of the greatest scholars of the church (Augustine and Bede for example) took these days to stand for years. 490 years (the seventy "weeks" mentioned in Daniel 9:24) were "cut off" from the 2,300 years, leaving 1810 years. It was assumed that Christ died early in 31 ad. with 3-1/2 years of Daniel's 70th week still to run. Adding those 3-1/2 years to 31 ad. brings us to late 34 ad, at which time the 1810 remaining years supposedly began. 1810 + 34 brings us to 1844. Technical considerations placed the date in October 1844.

Under this interpretation, it seemed possible to match actual historical events with the sequence of events in Daniel chapter eleven. Byzantium, the pope, Egypt, Turkey, France and other countries, supposedly fulfilled various predictions derived from the Bible. The whole argument was developed at length and convinced thousands of people.

As many as 100,000 followers gathered at the predicted time in makeshift temples and on hillsides to "meet the bridegroom." Maxwell Pierson Gaddis attended one of these rallies and reported the result. When midnight came and Christ had not returned, people grew restless. Some walked out. One person said allowance must be made for differences of latitude and longitude between Palestine and the US. At about one o'clock one of the leaders rose and said "I never did fix upon the precise time myself, and I always told my brethren they would get into trouble if they did; but they would not listen to me, but followed other leaders...I believe the most important thing after all is, to be ready..."

Humiliated by what has been called "The Great Disappointment," some Millerites shucked their faith completely. Led by Miller, others formed the Adventists. The majority returned to more traditional churches.

Doug Batchelor could be a wolf in sheeps clothing. I do believe the SDA is the only true church of Jesus Christ in these very last days but there is something about Doug Batchelor that is not right. Have you noticed he makes the sign of the devil a lot in his seminars? That is where you fold your two inner fingers and stick up your index and little finger up. The first time I saw it I thought it was a coincendence but not 4 or 5 times in one seminar.

Now I do believe the 1000 years are in heaven and then the earth is restored after the wicked are all killed but I think this man is working for Satan.

The SDA Church isn't perfect. But it is closer than most. I am not an SDA. But I've done my research and I plan to be. D. Batchelor is 80% of the reason. He clears up some of the more eristic matters biblically. His sermons are almost completely informitive but vatical. He leaves the zeal and volume to the worship service. I can't listen to many other pastors the same way simply because they preach on vague concepts, feel good ideas, ways of living happy etc. Its all just fluff. Cotton candy that no one can live on. But the meat and potatoes, solid doctrines of truth are what I take from D. Batchelor. It is filling and gives peace to the weary and wandering mind of an uneducated, undisciplined christian.

Doug Batchelor is a man who has lived on both sides of the fence. I have compared the Bible to what he preaches, and he is right on track. As for anyone who says that Seventh-Day Adventists are a cult - you only say that because you actually don't understand what Seventh-Day Adventists believe. Seventh-Day Adventists are one of the only religions that actually take notice of the entire Bible, not just bits and pieces, and SDA's do not add/take information away, or take it out of context. Seventh-Day Adventists try to live according to the Bible. As the Bible is God's word, and its the only way out of this hell hole, we call earth. Doug Batchelor is a fantastic speaker about God's word.

I just got a DSL line and thought I would try to find a Christian talk show I could listen to while at work. I found Bible Talk and was very intrigued - at first. They do a pretty good job of debunking the Pre Trib Rapture theory with scripture. So I checked out the Amazing Facts website and took a look at a couple of their articles. Whoops! Soul sleep? Investigative judgement? Annihilation of the wicked (although I admit it sounded reasonable) - I realized I had dropped into SDA land. That in and of itself would not be so terrible if they would just disconnect themselves from the false prophetess Ellen G. White. A warning to anyone who visits: be a good Berean and read the scripture yourself - they make some good arguments BUT they omit a few scriptures that would prove them wrong... The climate of ALL the churches in our modern day Laodicea is one of compromise of truth and error.

We need to listen with our ears, and not listen to smooth teaching, of what we want to hear. Keep up the hreat teaching Doug Pastor R. Manning...On. Canada
