The stadium is almost as bad as the team.

What a classic stadium. It should be on the National Register of Historic places. Read up on some Illinois football history of Memorial Stadium and then visit this classic. Only thing is the overhang at the top of the lower level. Watch out for that, but coming to a game here is really worth it.

I had a great time at the 2003 Wisconsin game. Always expect to pay for parking on the UI campus. I always park at the UI Research Park $10 and walk the 4-5 blocks. The stadium itself is a great facility but, is slipping compared to the recent renovations at Purdue, Wisconsin & Ohio State. The stadium itself looks great on tv when the upper decks & horseshoe is filled it--with so many seats under the upper balconies it can look like a full house but still have 10,000 empty seats. Be leary of sitting in the upper-lower stands on a dark windy day--very cold.

I was in the horseshoe section last year for the game of the year. Never been to a colder stadium. The fans "over rated" cheer was old, unoriginal and an insult to an Illini team that played a great game. Seems smaller in person, looks better on TV. CHEAP tickets, bad parking, and where are the parties?
