 | TheFreak (5) 08/08/2003 | As a rabid Pearl Jam fan, I am inclined to like MLB simply because their rhythm guitarist and bassist went on to form Pearl Jam. But after hearing some of the songs off Apple, I'm blown away - this band was given a very bad reputation in their existing days. It was "uncool", especially for their seattle colleagues, to like them. I can't see why. Any band with this immense talent should be breaking the sales records and headlining the Grammys. Listen to "Stardog Champion" to see what I mean. Andrew Wood was an outstanding vocalist and performer (and a fellow Queen nut!) and it's a terrible, terrible shame that his life was cut so short. I'd give them five stars, but I reserve that position for my absolute favorites. One of the best bands of the 90s, though.
