Rich is not real well-liked in West Virginia right now. He slithered out in the middle of the night to take the coaching job at Michigan, and now all of West Virginia has become Ohio State Buckeye fans!

How he can find top notch talent after the big schools get the top picks is amazing in itself. he has raised West virginia to a top ten team.

Congratulations to West Virginia on a big bowl win tonight against Georgia. Rodriguez's coaching had a big influence on that, especially with his call for a fake punt with 2 minutes left in the game. West Virginia isn't a state with a lot of homegrown talent, so Rodriguez has had to recruit in a lot more places than other coaches. He has done a good job of brining in players to Morgantown, and has one a decent amount of games every year.

NOT THAT GREAT

He showed what he could do in 2002 and 2003, but squandered an opportunity in 2004. 2005 is the first year when the majority of the players on the team are his recruits, so we will see what he can do. Desperately needs to win a bowl game. The jury is still out.

Punk coach of punk team.

Not surprising all the recent ratings are bad and all the old ones high. Patience with this loudmouth is wearing thin.

Talks one of the best games around but a mediocre coach at best. Despite the hype is making no progres with WVU program that is only 28-21 since he took over with no wins against any BCS teams with winning records and in fact only one win period over a BCS team outside the sorry Big East in 4 years. The honey moon is over and if the 2005 tram slips even farther than the 2004 he could be on thin ice.

TOO much emotion on the field. Does not know how to coach special teams! Lost 3 games in 2004 season because of lack of special team coaching.

A superb coach having a Roster of only about 110 Players and recruiting on average about only 2 Stars, yet he wins with them. He will only do better too once he goes to a bigger school. A great coach at any school by developing his players no matter what the talent levels. Needs to beat Maryland soon or I will lower my rating.

Get over it, Marshall stinks as a qb, not a runner, a qb. He became enamored with running a spread attack when he had three good running backs, walt harris had this issue too with barlow, goings, and miree. He just dosen't seem to have it for the big games.

Most overrated coach in the country even if he is not rated highly. Lucky to have inherited a good program at his alma mater or he'd be another casualty

Good coach doing a good job at a good school to build up. RR's system works well for WVU and his success should be good enough to build off of for years to come. The weakened Big East is ripe for the picking by an up-and-coming team and RR is in a primo spot to take advantage of that. Team was overrated this year and true test will come when Louisville joins Big East.

Coaching at backwards WVU but winning.

I have seen the ability of coach rod. When he coached at glenville state he turned that program around and he will bring glory to WVU.

Rich who?? Top ten active coach?? I guess its based on all his National championships.

Going on to bigger things outside the Big East!

Right now he hasn't impressed me much.

He is proving he is one of the best.

Does anyone know that this team is top 10? Does anyone know anybody on this team except for Kay Jay Harris, who recently broke the conference single game rushing record? That answer is usually no. If you can take a bunch of mediocre kids and turn them into winners, like the 1980 US Olympic Hockey team, then you know you have the makings of a great coach.

What RR lacks in total years at the helm of 1A football he makes up for in innovation, turn-around capability, recruiting and instilling the team mentality to make it all come together. All of this in one of the cleanest programs in the country.

WVU came from top 40 to top 10 with Rodriguez and looks to stay in the top 20 for the next several years. Gotta give him props for the job he has done there, as well as at other schools like Tulane and Clemson.

One of the Nations best motivation coaches. Great work ethic that gets the best out of all his players.

Is one of the most respected young offensive minds in the nation, and is surrounded by solid assistant coaches. His recruits are in place now and the next few years will produce the results to either seal his fate ... or his coffin, most likely his fate.
