04/22/2004 | I am old- I remember when I first seen it back in early the 80's. I was young then and had no idea what japanese anime was, I just know that this show kicked bugs bunny's butt and after that I never watched another American cartoon.
For it's time, Robotech was a pretty advanced anime. The art direction was fantastic for animation at that time, action packed and fast paced. The story was excellent. This is classic anime at it's finest. (I'm a girl, so when I was eight, I totally idolized Lisa Hayes) So, in some ways, this was one of the first series that started my anime addiction.

03/27/2003 | One of the first anime shows to reach american audiences. Still considered a classic by today's standards. The storyline and subject matter are a little advanced for today's children though. It's hard for most adults in this country to accept a cartoon that deals with war and death.

01/08/2003 | One of the few good Japanese cartoons ever. Good storyline, neat robots and ships, and evil-looking villains. This along with Voltron and Tranzor Z are better then those stupid modern Japanese trading card crap cartoons such as Pokemon, Digimon, Hamtaro, and Yu-Gi-Oh.
