 | StevenMel1020 (2) 03/22/2008 | Mitt was indeed my pick to win the presidental campaign. Although his image went down hill for being overly imageable (good looking, smooth), the way he carried himself was what America needs. Although my patented 3 P's which are: Policies, Politics, and Performance, are most important, Mitt had the personality and passive aggresive nature that is going to carry him in world affairs, memorable speeches, and will unite the political parties more. Its a known fact the Jorge Bush didn't really do a good job at being liked by most of the nation. Yet Romney would of been able to be the commander and chief that America really needs because its a lot easier to run game when the teams on your side. But my god please don't get me wrong, the way he carries himself is not nearly as good as his policies, politics, and performance. Lets start with policies. He is a Republican who is pro-choice, a tax cutter, made it possible for every citizen of MA to recieve free or affordable healthcare, his foreign policies were moderate as in he understood that with time, times change, and the world will to. His politics were so multidimensional. He was a governor, pioneered in the business field (which is crucial in the development of an economy and nation), he was liberal but tough, Republican but fair, he had the politics that were the most realistic in running a prosperous nation such as the USA. His performance is still beign performed at a great level. The success he had in MA was exceptional, as well as becoming a household name in months. Yet for most of this review I have been writing in the present, and future tenses, Mitt Romney will indeed be McCains running mate. Although the other way around is more desirable, the mix of views and regions will truly make up for a ticket more desirable then those golden ones from the Willy Wonka movies.

 | USADude (3) 09/14/2007 | Although he ran on the pro-choice platform, he was a pro-life Governor. He fixed healthcare and enforced immigration laws. He cut taxes and balanced the budget. Need I say more?

 | oscargamblesfro (81) 11/08/2005 | Exactly how this guy became governor of Massachusetts is beyond me, other than the fact that he had a pretty weak opponent. The epitome of the corporate looking yuppie Republican. Not a true far right ideologue perhaps. Similar in some ways to former governor Weld. Kinda reminds me of the Donald Trump pastiche in Gremlins 2! Absolutely ruthless positions on matters that affect working class people, the elderly, etc .

 | caphillsea77 (30) 07/16/2005 | What a D*ckhead this jerk is. It is beyond me how a pompous a** right winger from Michigan like this can get elected in Massachusetts. Whats worse, his PR stunts running on the conservative ticket for 2008 presidential election, and he's govenor of the token blue state Massachusetts? Who'd have thought. That will surely capture the attention of red America and it's rather frightening.

 | GOPmember76 (3) 07/15/2005 | I like Mitt. Seems to be doing as good as a Republican in Massachusetts can do. Doesn't have much to work with in the legislative branch. Will run in 2008.

 | Bill Healey (0) 08/31/2004 | He has savaged our cities and towns, raped the University of Massachusetts, and jack-the-rippered our health care and human services.
And he wants to be president. Yick!

 | BIGBABY (11) 08/14/2004 | This man is doing the best anyone could do in Massachusetts. Our state is in a huge deficiet, and its not going away. Shannon O'Brian would definetely have raised taxes. Mitt Romney promised not to raise taxes but cut unnessecerry programs and such. I think that programs should have been cut instead of instituting more taxes. But either one or the other had to be done. I also applad him for trying to bring back the death penalty to the state.

 | BeatMitt21 (0) 08/12/2004 | Romney has demonstrated time and time again that he is more concerned with promoting Republican right-wing ideology than promoting the good of Massachusetts. Let's lose this bum!

 | sensible (0) 06/08/2004 | No backbone. He's not conservative (pro-abortion), tries not to be liberal, and ends up pleasing neither side. No one likes a lukewarm leader.
Mitt: Why don't ya take a stand for something!

 | LadyShark4534 (12) 12/03/2003 | I'm from Massachusetts and I am horrified this man is running my state.
I told people to vote for Shannon O'Brien, but instead we got a quack who's so anti-everything that's a tad bit liberal.
Mitt Romney does not believe in individual freedom. He believes we should own up to whatever his government says.
I can't stand this dope for the life of me!

 | justicePEACE (0) 09/18/2003 | Mitt is a mean spirited, self absorbed, evil man whose solutions to the budgetary problems created by his Republican predecessors is to KILL THE POOR. His current plan to lay of 40% of DSS will result in the deaths of children. His decision to cut medicaid precription coverage for disabled adults will kill them. His plan to eliminate unemployment compensation for people who are unable to find work in this shrinking economy will result in people becoming homeless, hungry and hopeless. He is exclusively interested in lining the pockets of the wealthy, and he has no concern what ever for who is murdered in the process. The blood of children and the poor will be on his hands.

 | moonmamam (0) 09/06/2003 | Who elected this corporate raider who believes that he can abolish all services, hike all fees, destroy the educational system, treat the public like morons and "run" the state like he is running a fire sale. He is an embarassment.

 | Salamone (0) 08/21/2003 | You have to keep in mind - he INHEREITED a state with a huge debt projection. Romney took over a state where liberal democrats spend money like I drink beer. Romney is faced with finding the funding. The liberal State Congress wont cooperate with him.
When there are tax dollars to spend, they put it towards handouts and pork. When the money dries up, the cut essentials but leave the waste alone, then whoever is in office gets the blame.

 | guy20 (0) 08/20/2003 | Governor Romney has done a fantastic job considering all the forces working against him. Most obviously that he is a Republican in an almost completely Liberal Democrat state. Massachusetts like most of the country is facing very difficult economic period and the Democrats in the state both in the House of Representatives and the Senate shut down every attempt by Mr. Romney to make changes and attempt to root out waste in the state. Even still Governor Romney has been able to accomplish quite a few things that are going to help the citizens of Massachusetts. Not to mention it is still very early in his administration.
