He's a little tough to rate. In the last election he did run largely on border security. After being re-elected, the voting machines were still warm when he started changing his tune and already contradicting the main reasons he got my vote.

That said, he has done a pretty good job keeping the state economy in check, which is worth an extra star. Genghis is right, he did do a good job after Katy and dealing with refugees from Louisiana after Katrina. I also have to add he was quick to act against price gouging after the 9/11 attacks. Still, I won't be shedding an tears if this is his last time through the Governor's Mansion.  

Terrible Gov. Raises taxes every chance he gets, esp. on business. Ran on border control, then after he won said the border was not an issue and nothing would be done about it. Forces vaccines on young girl, forget personal choice. Total liar, useless and not a conservative. RINO. Thank God he cannot run again.

Is he doing anything right? I guess he did ok with the hurricane.

I'm a resident of Texas and in the military, but haven't lived there in five years. Can't say much about him. I can say that he's quickened the execution process which has is great and it saves taxpayers money.
