I think it would be pretty hard to argue that this recall is good for democracy in California. An elected official will most likely be thrown out, and an election overturned. Gray Davis is a horrendous governor (primarily because he is so weak politically) - but that doesn't change the fact that partisan spite is being allowed to overturn the will of California's voters. As the leader of this partisan movement, Darrell Issa should be held accountable.

I hope the GOP remembers all the hard work and effort you put in to benefit the state and the Republican Party. The Leftists are running scared!

He was forced to drop out of the election because he knew as long as he stayed in the election would be portrayed for what it is -- a partisan funded attempt to do away with an honest election outcome unfavorable to the right fringe of the Republican party. He made a fool of himself and joke out of California and its election process.
