Arthur Fellig (Weegee)

Weegee was the pseudonym of Arthur Fellig (June 12, 1899 – December 26, 1968), an American photographer and photojournalist, known for his stark black and white street photography.

Weegee had a knack for depicting the mean streets in a stark black and white that was somehow as beautiful as it was grotesque. His street scenes, particularly his accident and crime scenes are utterly compelling, and never cease to intrigue me.
