 | VeracruzD (4) 04/11/2007 | Easily one of the greatest R&B groups ever. Their fusion of rock and soul seems effortless. Jimi Hendrix's influence on Ernie Isley is also apparent. It's about the only time you'll see psychedelic music performed by a Black artist. First saw them in 1973 as a 16-year old in Atlanta. Last saw them in 2004. Over 40 years in the game and still credible. I enjoyed Ron Isley's alter ego, Mr. Biggs. The pimped-out Mr. Biggs cut a great stage presence in 2004.

 | Limpin' Trenchfoot (16) 11/07/2006 | Didnt much care for their 'This old heart of mine' era but that's more to do with not liking that whole Holland Dozier Holland production line stuff. However, once they started incorporating some great guitar work and got more rockish and funky they were a great band. Ernie Isley's a much overlooked guitar player, much like Eddie Hazel

 | NOLApro (3) 09/11/2006 | One of my all time favorites. Thier tracks are beautifully orchestrated and very well produced. I gave them 4 instead of 5 because I realized many of thier songs are re-makes. Even though, I always like thier version better than the original. You got to respect a group that's been around 40 years. Classics.

 | doobiesNhof (21) 03/27/2006 | Classic soul, R&B, disco and funk rolled up into one nice, neat package. Jimi Hendrix even played with them some. "Shout", "That Lady", "Between The Sheets", "Twist and Shout", "It's Your Thing", "The Pride", etc...

 | middlefinger (4) 01/09/2005 | 5 stars...because...once they're on stage, the show is something to experience. However, getting them TO the stage is another matter altogether. They held up a show for 1.5 hours in Birmingham, AL...because...fine china wasn't available in their dining area before the show!

 | reeny (3) 08/16/2003 | One of the greatest R&B groups of all time. For over 40 years the Isley Brothers have been dishing out hits and they are still going strong.
