 | Steamroller3 (7) 07/04/2008 | I love the Priest and I think stuff like Screaming For Vengeance and Painkiller rule. However, I always thought this was only a decent effort. There are a couple of great tracks like Livin After Midnight but as a whole this one is mediocre by Priest standards.

 | reaverto (4) 09/27/2007 | Straight ahead, four on the floor metal with few pretensions (besides Rob Halford pretending to be straight that is.).

 | Limpin' Trenchfoot (16) 11/16/2006 | I'm not a big fan of Priest but IMO this is one of their better efforts as they've actually got some memorable tunes here. So what if it's commercial. What's so great about being tuneless and inaccessible?

 | Guava Monkey (4) 03/09/2005 | Definitely JP's most commercial and accessible album, from which its biggest singles hits came 'Breaking the law' and 'Living after midnight'. Other great tracks include the breakneck fast 'Rapid fire' and 'Metal gods'. However, a couple of fillers here e.g. 'Grinder' dont quite put this on a par with their best stuff e.g. 'Stained class', 'Painkiller' and 'Screaming for vengeance. Still, overall it kicks arse.

 | mouse1988@aol.com (0) 12/19/2002 | Classic album and band, along with Maiden, Priest are the Gods of Heavy Metal, if you have not heard them yet do so now, decide for yourself, but if its British Metal you like Priest is at the top of the gerne. Track three of British Steel says it all "Metal Gods". Other great Priest albums to check out would be Hell Bent For Leather, Screaming For Vengeance, Defenders Of The Faith, or if you can find it Sad Wings Of Destiny. But those are just for starters, I enjoy Priest on any of their albums.

 | Jason1972 (3) 10/17/2002 | "Living After Midnight" is probably, to me, one of the catchiest heavy metal tunes of all time for me, up there with "Crazy Train". Other than that the album is so-so.

 | Dreamgood (0) 08/06/2002 | Good, solid classic heavy metal. The Priest are a great metal band. However, they have done better than this album has a whole.
