 | lovemetodeath (0) 07/16/2006 | I haven't heard an Alice Cooper album that I haven't liked yet. Ok, his early 80's transitional stuff wasn't his best but this is Alice at his prime! Welcome to my nightmare put Alice in the big time! He has Vincent Price doing an intro to "The Black Widow". This album rocks!!!!!!

 | dmcd (0) 02/12/2004 | Welcome to My Nightmare is one of the many highlights of this legendary rocker's long and still great career. This flawless concept album showed that Cooper could write a diverse group of songs and turn it into genious. Check out rockers like Cold Ethyl or freaky songs like Stecen to see the power of a rock and roll icon.

 | Captain (0) 08/28/2003 | The standard for all concept albums and tours. Cooper is one of rock's greatest villians.

 | jack russel (0) 04/23/2003 | There is something intagably compelling about the persona and its accompanying world of fairy tale horror that Alice Cooper weaves, as if he were either a idiot-savant stumbeling around the dark underbelly of post 60's American ideals, or a wiley provocatur as manipulative and dangerouse as the characters he invents. What makes early Alice Cooper material so engaging and timeless is its sense of humour, its sense of irony a concept probably lost on the country of which he was born, who were all to busy delighting in the schlock horror theatrics he presented.Welcome to my Nigtmare is the sound of an artist effortlessly at the peak of his powers, excersising a new found freedom, away from the compromises and politics of a group setting, and indulging his razor sharp instints to the full. The albums over blown pompousity is brilliantly employed by producer Bob Ezrin, rendering songs such as 'Only Women Bleed' as a vitrolic and sarcastic attack on the feminist movement that had built up around the 60's.And lets not forget that Cooper proclaimed that he and his group drove a stake through the heart of the love generation!.This is one of those perfectley realised albums, and if the awesome opening track doesnt engage than nothing here will.

 | Dreamgood (0) 08/06/2002 | Ah, the master of shock rock. Alice Cooper is highly underrated in my opinion. He brought theatricsinto rock and has done some excellent albums. This is one of his best efforts and works well around Halloween. I give proprs to this album because it is actually diversified. I also credit Alice because he still puts out great albums and does theatrical tours (he is touring fall 2002 again) which is a rarity in this dayof overpriced tickets and undertalented bands.

 | Musclegirl (0) 04/30/2002 | Most of Alice's albums are amazing (including his recent CD's Brutal Planet and Dragontown). However, this is as classic as it gets. This album introduced me to rock and to the world of Alice. A must have, but don't listen to it late at night. The song Steven will scare your pants off!

 | Scot9447om (3) 04/23/2002 | Cooper was and still is the king of shock rock. I saw him last year and this guy still puts on the most amazing shows and his last three albums have been as good as the classic 70's material. Check out The Last Temptation, Brutal Planet, and Dragontown!
However, let's go back to the Nightmare CD from 1975. This is the king of all theatrical horror based CD's. Cooper sounds awesome and each song contributes to the story. It continues everything you would want in a rock masterpiece, especially Steven. The tour for this album is still the most respected in all of rock.

 | Barbspeakes (2) 04/22/2002 | This is one of my favorite CD's of alltime. The beautiful thing about this CD is that the songs have excellent lyrics, but it is also a very diverse album. Some of it is hard rock, but there is a beautiful ballad and even elements of jazz. This is definitely in my Top 20 CD's of alltime. Cooper is truly underrated.

 | long9562om (1) 04/18/2002 | This is a rock classic and definitely needed for any true rock fan's collection. However, Cooper is such a great performer that I think he has done a few albums even better than this! Rock doesn't get much better than this!

 | Budball (0) 04/17/2002 | People don't realize what an influence Cooper truly is on rock. In 1975, he released this masterpiece with such classics as the title track, Black Widow and the touching Only Women Bleed. Cooper's brand of theatrics was ahead of its time and the tour for this album set the standard for all rockshows seen today. Most of the 80's glam bands cite Alice as an influence. Rate it all has some good Cooper CD's. Go out and buy one today.
