The people over at D-Link made the experience of hooking up this modem pleasant. The folks over at AT&T were not helpful at all, probably because D-Link is not one of their Preferred suppliers. After all is said and done the DSL-2320B works well on the ATT&T DSL system....The shipping and delivery was great as always through Amazon....

I have been trying for a week to install and use this modem without any luck; all the while thinking that I am too stupid to do something so simple. Then I come back to this website and see a posted comment telling me that this modem doesn't work with Windows Vista. that would explain things. I am frustrated that no one in the product description does it say that it doesn't work with Vista. and now because of the no return policy of both Amazon and D-Link I am stuck with a $50 modem that I can't use and an Internet connection that I can't use either because of not having a modem.

It really would have been nice if it had been made known in the product description that it would work only on XP and would not install on Vista, 64 bit. Additionally, since it cannot be returned to Amazon as it has been opened is another major drawback and one that has convinced me to consider not making future purchases of non-returnable products from Amazon.

Works OK if you know how to set it up on your own. Lots of inaccuracies in the manual.

But, features that appear in the Data Sheet and/or Manual do not appear to exist in the actual product. The manual says you can set the time via an NTP server, but the feature does not appear to exist in the actual product. At least not in the one I got. The Data Sheet says there is a firewall, but again it does not appear to exist. The manual also describes a Parental Controls feature which doesn't appear to exist. I contacted D-Link tech support and the response I got was somewhat amazing. They said that if I couldn't find the features shown in the manual or data sheet, then those features don't exist and that I should not ask them again. Really. I don't think I'll be buying any more D-Link products in the future.

The only one of these features that I actually care about is the NTP Time feature, because I'd like the logs to have a useable time stamp. My router handles the other stuff anyway. But, I have to admit I found D-Link's response to my inquiry absolutely shocking.

I have read other reviews for this product and disagree with the negative. This modem works great. I did not have to manually set anything in the setup, just clicked one button and it found the signal and configured its self. I also had on problem hooking it to my wireless router. I would recommend purchasing this modem to those who have little to no experience with setting up internet access.
