Is this the album where they recorded the drums inside a tin can?

If you are a die hard metallica fan like me, you could see that the sound they create in St. Anger was unlike anything ever. All you guys want is solos and fast playing, but it takes so much more than that to make a song. If you watch the documentary Some Kind of Monster and then start to listen to St.Anger alot (especially unnamed feeling, sweet amber, frantic) you will love it. Thats a garauntee......

This Album maybe the worst rock album of the 21st century, St. Anger is a big blow for metallica who haven't been the same since and justice for all, this cd is a devastating disaster for real metallica fans everywhere

I love this Album!!! I'm a die-hard Metallica fan and I don't have a single album that has disappointed me yet. I've noticed there are quite a few people here who complain about every album after about Master of Puppets. I think it's just them showing off how they can do other things other than just play hard, speed metal.... Low Man's Lyric, Mama Said, Nothing Else Matters....they're some of my favorite songs. St. Anger is what they created to A)try to go back to their roots and B)take some things here and there from current bands like System of a Down. Nobody complained when they took inspiration from bands like Motorhead in the '80s...why complain now? Metallica is the best heavy metal band to walk the planet. They'll be around for a bit longer, call them whatever you want or say whatever you want...they probably don't care anyways!!! METALLICA FOREVER!!!

This is not Metallica. Listen to the music fellas! Kirk doesnt play a single solo on the album, the lyrics are horrid and repetitive, and truthfully Lars just isnt sounding like himself. Something went wrong here, and its name is St Anger.

This is absolutely a piece of s..t! I don't even believe this was made by metallica. It seems to be created by any regular death-metal crap band. I mistakenly bought it and I am really disappointed. Metallica is Dead...

Major disappointment. I think Metallica tried too hard to get an album out quickly after Jamz got out of rehab and tried way too hard to make it sound like the old. If they want to get back to the way they were they need to dump Bob Rock. Ever since B.Rock started producing Metallica they slowly went down hill (Bob started with the black album). Maybe it's age or just the way music is heading, but I was not happy with St. Anger. I really hope this was the last time this happens. I don't even want to put this album with the rest of my metallica cds. I don't know how you can go from Puppets and Justice to this. Now I pretty much look towards Fear Factory and Mudvayne to give the great metal that metal used to be. Fear Factory - Obsolete and Mudvayne - The End of All Things to Come, are great albums, pick them up if you don't have them and you will get sucked into it right away. As for St. Anger...get a copy from a poor friend who bought it and copy it. Worth having but not paying for. I and alot of other people can only hope the next one is better. ~meatloaf921@comcast.net

Hardcore Metallica fans are truly pathetic and by hardcore fans I mean the veterans that have spent years bitching about how much Load and Reload sucked. In response to the constant whining from the public, Metallica decided to release an album that returned to their metal roots. Unfortunatly, that wasn't good enough and fans are still complaining. Here's a bit of free advice for anyone willing to accept. If you don't like the band that Metallica has become then don't buy their newer CDs.

Might be the worst CD of all time. Sounds like they were banging on pots, pans and trash cans. Please Metallica do us all a favor and GO AWAY!!!

This is pure crap. I'm one fo the few who liked Load and Reload when they came out; I didn't really see Metallica as sellouts then like most everyone else. But this newest effort isn't fit to tortire someone with. Apparently when Jason Newsted left the band all the talent left with him.

This is a great album. Only an idiot would disagree. People complained when Load and Re-Load came out saying that they had gone soft. Then they come out with a great hard hitting ablum and people still complain. They can't win. Just enjoy Metallica for what they are, great songwriters and musicians.
