Silver Sands Beach 5

Silver Sands is my favorite beach - it's not somewhere you go if you expect commercial-type stuff like hot dog stands and waterslides - it's a gorgeous place where you can relax and enjoy the views. Walk out to Charles Island when it's low-tide, or just lay around in the sun - either way you'll have a rejuvenating experience. It's a romantic place to take a walk at sunset, especially on a weekday when it's not too crowded. It only gets packed on some weekends in the summer - most days it is a hidden treasure on the CT coast.
