I usually disagree with this man, but Peter Camejo (along with Tom McClintock) was one of the two best candidates during the 2003 California Gubernatorial Debates. Camejo showed he was extremely bright and well-informed of the issues concerning all Californians. Moreover, he stands by what he says, regardless of who agrees or disagrees. Camejo, in short, can become a force to be reckon with.

Green Party numbers are way down compared to last time. Seems a lot of Greens don't trust Camejo.

He would have got a 5-star rating, but I still haven't forgiven the Green Party for helping elect George W. Bush as President in 2000.

Though there approaches and platforms are quite different, I would say Camejo and Tom McClintock were by far the best in the big debate (with Arnold). They had actual plans and were more civil than some of the other candidates.

Camejo showed good insight in the 9/24 debate, does well in placing realism and understanding foremost and isn't a slave to the politics of the major parties or ideological dogma. Showed more consideration for fair process of public debate than most other candidates in the debate, who established a record of trying to drown out statements by others.

I'm getting really tired of Darrin Scheidles' cronies going around slamming ligitamate politicians they know nothing about. Darrin, you don't know Camejo, Shut Up. You Loose. Camejo is a very formidable candidate for Governor, he knows the inner workings of California and has what it takes to run California. Darrrin does not, I hate to put it so harshly, but he is an idiot with $3,500...stop wasting your time Darrin, go work on another biggie sized burger and fries and let honest, hard working, smart politicians do their work.

Sorry, Peter, but more taxes aren't the way.

Clear and consice strategies on where to pull the money from, why to pull it and how to achieve goals for California,s majority. Refreshing for a Liberal.

Never heard of him. I like the Greenies though, even though they are more than partially responsible for us having George Bush now. I think the problem with the Greens is that their name is too descriptive of their platform. If they want more mainstream trust and acceptence, they should have named their party somthing like "The Pluracrats" or somthing like that.. somthing that has the same sound of "Democrat" and "Republican," rather than evolking the thought of Grateful Dead and Phish concerts... Anyway.. HEMP, HEMP, HOORAY!!!

Yeah right... All we need is more socialism! That seems to be the answer from all of California's Democrats (like Cruz "Aztlan" Bustamante) and the idiot Greens. There is no excuse for wealth redistribution and class warfare like the open socialism practiced by Peter Camejo. Hiss!!!

I am the Candidate, Darrin Scheidle, and I know who Camejo is. And while I do, some people don't. I also agree with some of Mr. Camejo's ideas, but raising taxes is not one of them. I'm sorry Whimsy had to assume incorrectly, and maybe should go back to school to tell the difference between an "S" and a "D". I also have provide more details on my website www.Save-California.us, in case you REALLY want to see specifics.

Check out Camejo's website about education: Top Priority: Helping schools that are being allowed to deteriorate and bringing equality back to education. Getting rid of the testing mania. Tuition Vouchers: Camejo is opposed to vouchers. "I am hard-core, fanatically for free public education. It's a critical part of our freedom and our culture." he says. I assume this means that the responsibility for the school's condition is now a STATE problem instead of the school districts. And so much for the High School Exit Exam, or testing teachers for competency. And where does Camejo think we can get FREE Public Education? Last I knew it came from taxes, from all people not only those with children. I'm sure the thought of free education contradicts his plans to increase teachers salaries... is he going to raise their "freebies"?

According to Camejo's website: Camejo would erase the deficit mainly with a series of tax increases... increasing vehicle license fees to raise $3.5 billion, ending tax breaks for oil companies, reassessing commercial property more often and imposing higher tax brackets on California's wealthiest citizens." Just what we need HIGHER TAXES! How about CUTTING GOVERNMENT WASTE?

Scheidle, on comments list, is running for Governor (or at least is a close relative -- see list of comments for scheidle and supporters to confirm this). If Scheidle doesn't know who Camejo is, he isn't qualified to be Governor himself. Camejo has been the Green Party candidate for years. He has a lot of good ideas. Unlike Scheidle, he also gives specifics. Unlike Scheidle, or at least his supporters, Camejo isn't a liar.
