The antenna was easy to instal and provides perfect reception. I am about 15 miles from the transmission towers and within direct line of sight of them. I have no way to know how well the antenna would work in more difficult reception conditions.

I had been using RS U-75R 15-2160 indoors until the digital transition when a few stations went back to VHF which this antenna was not designed for. As a stop gap measure, I took a pair of rabbit ears that came with one of those old TVs, rubber-band tied them to the boom of the U-75R and extended all the way at an angle around 90 degrees. Without even connecting the leads, amazingly, I got all available VHF channels. So the rig worked but was a little clunky and that was why I hoped that the ANT751 could be an elegant replacement. It did comparably well with closer stations but was outmatched on a further VHF-13 station (< 30 miles). Needless to say, I went back to my trusty old rig. Moral of the story: do not throw away those telescope rabbit ears, you never know when you may need them. Tip: if you need VHF out of your old UHF hardware, try my rabbit ear trick.

It works better than expected. I thought I would have to purchase an outside pole to put this antenna on, but I get great T.V. reception after installing in my attic. It also comes with the short mounting arm pictured, I wasn't expecting it to come with this. The T.v. stations are @ 30 miles from my location, I think it is a great antenna for the price. Well built and easy to install.

I recently became angry over the high, (and ever-increasing) cost of cable and Satellite TV service. Finally realizing that most of what I was interested in watching consisted of local channels - I decided to break my long-term relationship with the Satellite providers, and save $60+ per month by taking advantage of FREE, over-the-air television signals. After all - twenty to twenty-five minutes of every prim time hour are filled with commercials anyway. However, This presented a new problem for me. See - I live in Jacksonville NC (home of Camp Lejeune USMC base). I live within a couple miles of the base which means that any broadcast signals are subjected to the plethera of radio frequencies and satelite signals generated daily by the base's standard operations. Combine that with the fact that "local" TV channels are EXTREMLY limited in this area. At first - I ran out to a local retail super discount store and picked up a couple models which they were selling in their limited inventory. This did not work well because their offerings were substandard in quality. Then I began browsing the web for advice, (this should have been my first choice). I returned the under-performing antennas to the super center, and ordered a model which I found to be pretty highly recomended on Amazon. Upon receiving that RCA ANT751 - I opened the box and began the very SIMPLE assembly required on this un-assuming antenna. When most of us think outdoor tv antennas, we likely think of the huge, ugly, monstrocities which once dotted the landscape of rural America. This model, however; breaks that stereotype with it's rather compact size, and ease of installation. Once installed and positioned, I connected the coaxial cable to the TV, and scanned for channels. I was shocked to find that I could receive 23 channels. This even exceeded the results given by the well-known antenna advisory website. They predicted I could get about eight locals with a "large" outdoor antenna. With some fine-tuning - I was in business. I was now getting free, over-the-air, un-compressed digital television without an overly-intrusive antenna messing up the landscape. Let me say at this point that results WILL vary depending upon landscape, weather conditions, direction, location, and aiming. But for my area - this antenna is VERY impressive. It is deffinately worth your consideration. It should also be noted that I have a clear area in my yard that is not obstructed by trees or tall buildings.

The product met my expectations for design, construction and performance. The antenna rating is given on the box (one of the few I've seen) for yellow, green, light green and red zones per [...] ratings. It claims to be able to pull in signals as far as 40 miles away, which is probably right for a rooftop mount with the antenna pointed correctly. Mine is in the attic for stations up to about 30 miles away and it's working well in Raleigh NC. I like the fact that it comes with flexible mounting hardware as well.
