I have owned Labs for over 20 years and have tried just about every brand of food. About 6-7 years ago I was having some problems with ear infections so I switched to Avo-Derm Natural Dog Food and really liked the product. After about 3 months my dogs ears were clean and overall health was much better.

I like to switch food now and then and I wanted to stay in the Breeders-Choice company because I had success with Avo-Derm so I tried their Pinnacle line.

I have used the Pinnacle Trout and Sweet Potato and the Chicken and Oats. This is a great holistic product. Pinnacle uses top of the line proteins and a single high quality carb like sweet potato or oats without byproducts or fillers.

Right now my routine is three months on Pinnacle and then switch to Avo-Derm for a month for a change.

I have been around the block a few times and finally found the quality I am looking for for my beloved Labs.

Hope this helps.

I have a Italian Greyhound Named Bud. He loves Pinnacle Dog food, I switch Flavors every now and then. I also use a variety of vitamins and allot of walking. He seems to be very energetic and happy!
I recommend Pinnacle dog food to every breed of dog.

I worked many rears at a Pet Store and the reviews people gave Pinnacle was 100% positive feed back. Good food is the key to a healthy long living dog.

Go out and try a bad for yourself. You will be impressed.

My dog at the ripe old age of 2 started having terrible rashes and ear infections. We were in the vets office at least 3 times a month trying to keep everything under control. The vet changed his diet to a vet specialty dry food that was oh so costly 20 lbs. for 55.00...I found pinnacle and it was cheaper and all his allergies have cleared up. He hasn't been to vet for allergy related issues for at least 6 months now. Pinnacle is costly but definitely saving me money in the long run! Not to mention a much happier dog!

Giving 5 for results but would like to give 4 stars due to price...wow.

But this is the best for my puppy right now with severe allerg. The duck and potato has been awesome, she's on her 3rd bag now so the results are great.

The last food we used was the Fromm duck and sweet pot, but it had rice and chicken cartilage, allergy specialist told me she could have NO chicken anything in food even cartilage??? She was still scratching some and shaking head on the Fromm, this is the first out of all the foods we've tried where she does NOT shake her head in morning or scratch first thing. This is wonderful for her!

Only wish they would disclose the meat (duck content) called them waiting for response, they've been wonderful with all other inform. and sending coupons to help with price.

Again my pup is doing wonderful. Company still functions like family owned in pet food side. Very nice people food from US and made in US. Yeah!

I give pinnacle a 5 star!! I've been struggling with diarrhea problems with my pup since she was 8 weeks. Trying to find her allergy. Or trying to figure out if maybe it was something else. Well we finally figured out that she is allergic to chicken and brown rice, and I switched her to pinnacle duck and potato. Her poop is firm and her coat is softer and shinier than it's ever been!! Within days of switching to pinnacle I had a new beautiful 8 month old pup! She is now very happy and even MORE energetic than she was before, and I'm not having to spray her poop into the grass, I can actually scoop it! Sounds lovely huh?? Thanks pinnacle for making a food chicken and brown rice free!!

Our hound has done great on the Pinnacle Peak Protein.  It has worked well in our rotation of foods that we switch out every 3-4 months and I will continue to use it as long as there are no problems.  The cost per pound is a little more but it's worth it to me.  The protein amount is higher so it takes my Bloodhound about 10 days of introducing the food gradually before she is ready for the full amount.

Pinnacle Holistic Trout & Sweet Potato Can Formula has a lot of good ingredients listed. The only thing they don't list is the 1" long nylon fishing line that I have found in two cans, purchased one month appart.

I have been feeding my Labrador Pinnacle - Trout & Sweet Potato for 2 years now. I went through the allergy issue with her for first 3 months till I found Pinnacle from recommendation at dog show. She has beautiful coat, no bad breath, no tardard build up on teeth, less stool and one happy dog.

One question I have that Who does own Pinnacle company?

I was recently disappointed to find that my dog had developed a food allergy to one of the several high quality foods I was feeding him. His coat, fitness and overall energy level had greatly improved in the 2 months I had owned him and I hated to have to change his food to a more "allergy free" brand. When I figured out that at least 1 of his allergies is to rice, I found it hard to find a diet that didn't use rice. Because it uses oats, quinoa and potatoes, Pinnacle was one of my only options and so far I have been very happy with the results. After only 48 hours, the redness on my dogs feet drastically reduced and has continued to get better every day. He no longer licks his paws and has no red "splotches" on his belly. I started him on the duck and potato dry with a little duck canned food mixed in. (This flavor had fewer of the "other" ingredients I suspected were contributing to his allergies). I was concerned when I opened the first bag because it had mold in it. I took it right back to the pet shop and they were shocked because they said they have NEVER had a problem with mold in this particular brand (Pinnacle has a special oxygen proof bag to help combat this). I was hesitant but decided to get another bag and I had them open it up in their store and this one was fine. I took it home and he ate it up right away and so far has had no bad reactions. My only problem with the duck variety is that it doesn't seem as palatable ( very little smell to the food). He seems to get tired of it quickly but I have been slowly introducing the trout and the chicken canned foods into his diet and these have a lot more "smell" to them so he eats those up faster. SO far he has done fine (allergy wise) on both the chicken and the trout canned foods. Today I purchased the trout dry food and will start to introduce that in hopes that he will like the flavor more. One of the biggest benefits in less than 2 weeks has been his coat quality. I didn't think he could get any greater shine than with the foods I was previously feeding him but within 1 week his coat was incredible looking. It looks like I just gave him a bath! I am hoping that all 3 flavors of Pinnacle will work with his allergies. They are all very similar in ingredienst but have different sources of protein and the chicken dry food has eggs and cottage cheese. It is important to me to feed a high quality food with good amounts of vitamins, minerals and fatty acids while allowing my dog to have some variety. Whether your dog has allergies or you are just looking for a good quality food (and don't mind the expense)so far I would recommend Pinnacle to anyone.

We put our dog on Pinnacle Duck & Potato formula because we suspected he had food allergies. We made the switch over a one week period and he was doing fine until we switched him completely; he then started to develop small problems he has never had before such as bad breath, very soft stools and licking at the base of his tail. We kept him on the food until we finished the bag hoping these problems would go away as he was adjusting but they didn't. We eventually had to put him back on Nutro Ultra and everything came back to normal. On the plus side, he did seem to have more energy on Pinnacle and his dandruffs went away but overall I was unimpressed. I am still looking for a better food for him as I think Nutro is ok but not the best.

Our french bulldog has been on Pinnacle Trout & Sweet Potato for about 6 months now and she's doing great. Previously she'd been on Natural Balance Duck & Potato, but we discovered that was too rich/fatty for her because it caused loose stools. She's also shown allergies to Canidae and other premium lines, so we're very happy to have finally found a dog food that agrees with her. Pinnacle is actually cheaper than a lot of other high-quality foods if you can find the right place to buy from: in Seattle, Mud Bay Granaries, and here in San Francisco, I go to Wisnom's Hardware.

I had my 10 month old Pitbull on Wellness from the time she was weened to about a month ago. When Wellness changed the food recently, she started getting ear infections and throwing up all the time. I also just got another 3 year old male Pitbull from my cousin. They had him on Purina Pro Plan. I am not a big fan of Purina products. I switched both of my pups to a mixture of Innova Evo and Pinnacle. I rotate the Pinnacle with the 3 different flavors but keep the Evo in constantly. My female's ear problems and regurgitating has stopped. They both love this food. Their coats are beautiful. They have more energy and look a lot more muscular. Thanks to Innova and Pinnacle. Two great dog foods!!!!

Starting feeding the Duck & Potato and the results are the most amazing food I have ever fed. The coat within a month shines like it has never before. The stool is the best I have ever had on my dog. After feeding several other Premium brands I find Pinnacle to be the best dog ever. Fed Canidae and after Diamond starting making it I have nothing be problems. Pinnacle straighted my dog's life out. Thanks Breeders Choice.

I used Pinnacle for about two years. Was very happy with it. Unfortunately my local pet store got bought out and never carried it again. Found the food was too expensive to have it shipped in.

I have been feeding Pinnacle Trout and Sweet Potatoe for awhile now to my Minature Schnauzer. My dog almost instantly had more energy and vibrance, he was happier. Some of the previous foods I had tried him on were Canidae, which was pretty good,Timberwolf Organics, Wysong and Wellness. For my dog the Pinnacle Trout and Sweet Potatoe formula is by far the best. It is a little higher priced than the rest of the Premiums and much higher than the grocery store brands. It is obviously worth the higher price, it is a better food.
