I own and have owned several Beretta shotguns, both semi-automatics and double barrels. My favorite Beretta o/u that I own is a 686 Whitewing. A basic gun that is light weight, very dependable and a pleasure to shoot. I have never experienced any problems with this gun and I have had it for over six years. I use 3" shells when hunting pheasant in North Dakota and 2 3/4" when quail hunting in Georgia and Tennessee.

Have a 687 which is basically an upgraded 686. It has been back to Beretta 5 times in an 18 month period and is still broken. No help from Beretta. DO NOT BUY THIS GUN.

excellant gun i have a 686E sporting and also a 682 gold E.both these guns have stood the test of time as i shoot two practice sessions a week with between 60 and 80 clays per session.never had any problems with either gun but i have to say that regular maintainance is a factor.highly recommended.

Classic over under styling at an affordable price. This Italian beauty was my first trap gun in 20 guage. Very enjoyable to shoot.

I own several Beretta o/u's that are used for a variety of shooting. Recently a crack in the stock of my 686 silver pidgeon developed. the gun has had less than 40 boxes of shells, mostly trap loads, run through it. I sent it back to Beretta for repair and was told it was a normal wear item. Hummm that means every gun I own should develop cracks. Beretta customer service and management was less than helpful. I'm now selling all my Beretta's.

Great gun that will last a lifetime. I have a 686 SP field gun and a 687 SP clays gun, that's how much I love the 68x series. It swings beautifully, however, my friends say it has more recoil then they are used to in a 12g. I don't really notice it.
