 | JonTheMan (27) 04/04/2006 | A nice little establishment with a pleasingly direct feeling to it. You can see the food being made right in front of you after you order, allowing you an in-depth insight into the makings of the culinary concoctions. Speaking of which, the food here is delicious. It's tender, flavourful and scrumptuous. If Mexican food elsewhere turns out to be half as good as the fare served here, I will be definitely be eating much more Mexican food in the future.

 | matthatter (0) 03/09/2006 | I tried this place a couple of times thanks to this list. Pretty darned good! The meat isn't quite as tasty as a few of my favorites, but we have a strong contender here. Also, my vegetarian sister LOVED their meatless burrito... she claims it's the best she's had!

 | Munson (7) 02/19/2005 | I think Buen Sabor is a hidden treasure in SF. It's not as well known as Cancun or El Toro, but I would put their burritos up there versus any in the city. The meat is always fresh and they're very generous with their helpings. If you're not hungry enough for a burrito, try a torta which are also excellent.

 | BP (0) 07/30/2004 | El Buen has the best table salsa in the Mission. The cozy atmosphere, highlighted by the little minature stools they make you sit on, is very inviting. El Buen, aside from the ridiculously great food, also has a wide selection of drinks to choose from and the people that work there seem pretty nice. I have never had even a questionable experience at El Buen Sabor and will continue to visit weekly.

 | pabloescobar (0) 07/21/2004 | buen sabor needs to change their name to el mejor sabor. this taqueria has been a major influence on my decisions to drive from los angeles to san francisco for the weekend and savor a burrito with my brothers.

 | gefstrat (0) 08/26/2003 | Buen Sabor is the best taqueria in the Mission. I have been going here for three years and never walked away unhappy. The Al pastor and grilled chicken are excellent. If you like to mix it up, I suggest the Especial with black beans, pinto beans, al pastor, and chicken. Don't be afraid to order the nachos, topped with some of the Mission's best refried beans. An added bonus is the friendly staff.

 | bsidey (0) 08/20/2003 | Buen Sabor is simply the best Taqueria in the Mission, and that says a lot. Outstanding, friendly service, combined with some of the best red and green salsa makes for a consistent highly enjoyable experience. I recommend the burrito especial with the green chicken.

 | mobilebuzz (14) 02/24/2003 | I'd have to say it's up there but not one of the best. Quality for me is determined by the freshness of the meat/other fllings... At Buen Sabor they do not grill the meat on the spot. The meat basically just sits there in a container under heat lamps - cafeteria style. This is not uncommon of taquerias here, however. So relatively speaking buen Sabor (as its name suggests) has a pretty good flavor - by far superior than many taquerias out there.

 | magellan (153) 08/01/2002 | OK - here's the run down on Taqueria el Buen Sabor: extremely consistent quality - I've never had a bad burrito there. The tortillas are steamed, ALL the meat is good - your best bet is to go with what looks the freshest. For example, if a new batch of chicken just got chopped up, go with the chicken. The carnitas is very good as well, as is the "green chicken." If you are not a huge eater, get a torta - it's perfect before a night of drinking, and is basically like a burrito sandwich. Warning: there is one guy who works here who consistently wraps the tin foil into the side of the burrito. You will identify him by his constant smile. In fact, he goes by the name "smiley." Avoid him at all costs. Oh yeah, one more thing, Sabor is about $1:50 cheaper than some of the crappier tourist taquerias down the street.

 | Ruby (15) 04/21/2002 | These burritos are so good, you'll eat two of them (especially if you arrive to town and everyone expects you to eat two of them).
