I have the NOMA SPIRIT with an 8hp tecumseh dual stage snow king. I got it used and havent used it yet. However it too will only run wide open, and if you try to idle it down it dies. Also it pop's alot, like little backfires. not a smooth running motor thats for sure. The guy I got it from says he paid $2000 for it a couple of years ago and only used it once. I think he is full of crap. for one it looks very used and two, dont most $2000 snow throwers have a headlight? The handle has a sticker that says Briggs and stratten, but the motor says Tecumseh..WTF?? I just hope the P.O.S. works this winter when I need it too. I cant find an owners manual for it and I cant find this machine on the internet, like is it rare?? very frustrating. there is a loose wire that looks like it had a fuse and went to something. and there is a perfect hole on the handelbar column, maybe it had a headlamp?.. Who know's It does look cool and agressive..it has a 21" by 25" bucket, and its all metal. I like that. My nieghbors new craftsman has a ton of plastic. the chute and sprocket that turns the chute. Im glad mine is metal. but like I said we will see this winter if I got HOSED!

I bought two, for myself and a friend, from Fleet over 10 years ago. Both machines have worked great and they have been doing most of the neighborhood. I have broke a couple of sheer pins with no other damage. They start so easy with the pull that I don't bother with the electric start. They are like any other piece of equipment, you take care of them, they take care of you. Hope this is helpful.

I have had my 8 hp 2 stage Ranch King snowblower for over ten years now. It has performed flawless! I just broke the the first Auger belt due to blowing very thick slush. I couldn't be more satisfied with a unit than this one. It runs like a champ and starts so quickly it is running before I can get my hand off of the starter button. AWESOME MACHINE! Tony In Michigan.

I also bought this from Fleet Farm thinking it would do the job wrong. At first the assemble was wrong and the fuel line was pinched, after several trys I finally figured it out. I have used it about eight times and this year we finally got the snow I wanted to try it out, as my entire neibaborhood were distroying snow the Ranch King snaped in the augers. That is what the cotter pin is for but no this had to distroy major parts. 100 dollars later after I paid a company to do my drive, and it is still broke because I can't find parts. POS!!!

I bought the snowblower from FleetFarm, thinking that it was a good unit. What a P.O.S.!! The governor and/or carburetor will not support an idle. The motor surges uncontrollably unless I run it wide open all the time. It won't idle. Kills if you try to reduce the motor speed. Impeller rattles also. A total mistake on my part. I should have bought another Murray (less money, very dependable).
