This will be a list of what I hate about Mike & Mike in the Morning, since there isn't much to like about it.1) I hate Greeny's whole Jewish schtick he does. He tries to act like Jerry Seinfeld (i.e. Germaphobic). He calls baseball "the baseball" and football "the football". We get it we get it your Jewish.2) I hate Golic acting like a dumbass on purpose, you can tell he's doing it on purpose, and it's not funny.3) I hate how when you watch the show on tv, you can see how totally uninterested "Greeny" is when someone is giving an interview. He's not even paying attention, most of the time when the guy is done talking, there is a pause until Greeny realizes the guy stopped talking and then he says "Mike & Mike in the morning" out of habit.4) I hate Greeny's stupid looking hair and ugly face5) I hate "JUAQUIN" and "LIAM" and their stupid names. I hate their lame songs. They are not funny, they are nerds.6) I hate how the show is 60% commercials and 40% show, actually this is probably one of the things I like come to think of it.7) I hate Greeny's stupid "cliffhangers" and how he thinks we really care enough to listen to the commercials to hear what he had for dinner last night. 8) Finally, I HATE the way Greeny says certain words like: Awful (Owful) and Horrible (Har-rable). I think he purposely says them like an a-hole just to piss people off.

I'm not a big fan of the show but Greenberg doesn't make me grate my teeth like Kuselias does when he fills in.
nubba420 04/20/2009
Just plain awful, they have more commercials than content. The show is basically just an advertisement for ESPN. The skits and songs that their producer performs are terrible. And for some reason they play Enrique Iglesias' "Hero" whenever they talk about the Jets. I don't know who is worse, this guy or Jim Rome. This guy says "Mike and Mike in the Morning" every 20 seconds. He'll even interrupt a guest mid-sentence just to say that. Oh my goodness he is awful. ESPN Radio is awful all around.
letsplaytwo08 11/07/2008
These guys suck. Greenberg is riding Jordans coat tails. (He covered him in Chicago) These two have everything writen for them by ESPN. Even the "your listen to mik and mike in the morning" before the break seems forced. These guys are only on becuase they are at ESPN. Any other town they would have been fired a long time ago.
kuro 07/05/2008
I don't always agree with Greenberg, but he at least expresses his opinions well. I also like his entire Odd couple Felix schtick.
OnkelFester 02/07/2008
They are both awful. Period.
Loerke 01/05/2008
Trades shamelessly on embodying a Jewish stereotype while keeping a jock stereotype within kicking distance in order to make himself look smart (which he wouldn't otherwise). It's impossible to listen to/watch more than one show, because he repeats everything (Jets homerism, homoerotic needling of his "top" Golic, self-righteous "just shut up" award when most of the stupidity is coming from his own mouth).
Rizzo34 10/05/2007
Mike Greenberg has NO IDEA what he's talking about when it comes to sports. Producers just hand him stats and he reads them. ANYONE who watches an entire sporting event can give as much insight on that event as he does. Neither of them are funny AT ALL but at least Golic knows about sports. Whenever someone challenges a point he makes, he just says noo, noo, noo, and they move on to a new topic. And those commercials they do SUCK and make me wanna kick in my tv. Go do some push-ups or somethin "GREENIE". Dork.
Teeny 10/04/2007
He refers to himself in the 3rd person as "Greeny". 'Nuff said. He's the ultimate douche
RiteOnReality 09/26/2007
By the time you've listened for a few weeks, you'll get it: Greenie is a totally clueless arrogant and annoying snob - a mama's boy who has no awareness of how embarrassing his presentation really is. He also happens to be have abolutely no grasp of sports insight. It's obvious he has contrived his entire life and, sadly, succeeded. We've all seen guys like him: spoiled, phony, weak, shallow, and rich.

i hate these guys. mike greenberg is the most annoying big eared dork ever. he thinks he's so cool and witty, but he is just irritating. at least golic comes off as real. it is so obvious that greenberg is trying really hard and not really being himself; i hate him with a heated passion.
brickman 06/24/2007
greeny is about the best in the am drive
bulldog1 04/24/2007
I enjoy the show because of both hosts...Greenie does a solid job as a trained broadcaster who transitions well between giving us facts and sharing his opinion...the show flows nicely, and I'm a big fan of the one or two topics per morning approach as it often gives many relevant sports figures a chance to offer timely interviews on these topics...Greenie's experiences offer a look at a man whom I suspect represents much of his listening audience: someone who gets as big a thrill now from a big home run or an unbelievable TD run as he did 'back in the day'...keep up the good work, Greenie!
mvopni 06/07/2006
I just started listening to Mike & Mike through the podcast (I'm in Caqnada so I don't get ESPN) and I instantly became a fan. Greeny and Golic are almost as good together as Wilbon and Kornheiser
DrFrasierCrane 04/25/2006
Greeny and Golic are as different as night and day, but it pretty much means you're going to have a side to take when you listen to them. The show has gotten both funnier and more sophisticated as time as gone on (notwithstanding Golic's News of the Weird).
the king 04/06/2006
Greenberg should stop trying to be a comedian--Golic should stop trying to be an announcer. Virtually unlistenable, and even worse on television.
BSGorilla 03/29/2006
Top notch in combo with Golic. Talented, charismatic, funny, humble. I love the Mike & Mike Show. It's ESPN Radio's best.
broncos01 03/24/2006
His and Golic's Abbott and Costello routine is tired and never was funny. Skits and songs are absolutely awful. No insite on anything, do i need to hear Golic try and breakdown any matchup???? You were a very serviceable nose guard whose whole job was to make a pile...what insite are you bringing??!!! We have one sports talk radio show in my town and i get to hear pre-recorded crap like this on my drive to work!
Steve Zaleon 03/12/2006
M & M, the quintessential example that opposites attract. The better dressed MG is evolving into a "leading man" role as a sports commentator. He knows his craft, is well-spoken, has a (LD) sense of humor, and not afraid to be unliked (mostly). More importantly, he is wise enough to know sports is going through a crisis of sorts (read his book) and he cares enough to want to make a difference in the outcome. That gets a 5 from me!
gamerman 02/16/2006
Terrible, these guys try to hard to be funny. The only other radio hosts who are worse are JT The Brick and David Stein. I know what you are thinking, "Who is David Stein?" David Stein doesn't talk sports, he is a comedian who talks about t.v. commercials, The West Wing, and poop jokes!I called in one time and he wanted to know what's good in my life!! Then he wanted me to give my "bang." Everything about this clown is a bit and I hate that! Mike and Mike don't take calls, so basically their show is basically you're going to listen to OUR opinion and we will tell YOU what to think. I can't stand that guy that is always dancing and writing unfunny signs. The songs Mike and Mike tells us is funny is terrible and their show has no variety. You're going to hear one topic for 4 hours straight! It's nothing we haven't heard before, a puny, fraile, small guy that tells us everyday what's wrong with athletes, the smart guy, and a huge, former jock that plays the role of the dumb jock.
goody 2 shoes 01/16/2006
I belive these Guys are pawns for the another meadia sham Golic not too bad but he is a homer. ESPN should move there f-en office to sin city why not sports is so so corrupt after seening the NFL play-offs the refs calls some of these guys made were very shaky my mother who could care less who wins or looses could see the poor calls. also I hate when you guys hand the superbowl tropys out to early like before the game is played , you hyip individuals that you all like too much. the colts lost get over it , colts that was most pepole pick but sh-t happens . ESPN needs to get some guys who are not liberal New yorkers or from Philly these guys talk like bookies. by the way I do not gamble and I never will throw my good money at stupid things like gambleing football games or any sports soory I know you may not like hearing that. But I am convinced los vegas has its mobster running the NFL.
mikemax 12/07/2005
far and away the most informative and entertaining sports talk show i've ever listened to.
alpepper 10/12/2005
Update: I have downgraded Greenberg to the lowest possible rating. All the ESPN Suits Horses and All of the ESPN Suits Men can't make this show even remotely amusing or insightful. It is the unfunniest show out there. The stupid parody songs are plain awful. It's the only sports talk show that gets so UNLISTENABLE, it forces me to switch over to FM music maybe 4 or 5 times per airing. I love the that they have their little "Just shut up" gig when ESPN goes at great lengths to bait athletes to say something controversial. They demand sound bites but in-turn lambast athletes for doing so. Worst of all is the idiotic "Stone Call Lead Pipe Locks." Greenberg picks the Saints (lose by 49 to the Packers) and Ravens (lose by 21 to the Lions). Take your lead pipe and beat your 2 milimeter crank with it. Greenberg is the pits. Just hearing his voice makes me turn the radio dial. The Mike&Mike Show is often unlistenable (boring and totally spin-doctored by ESPN suits). The show never takes callers (unlike the great Jim Rome). It simply broadcasts what ESPN wants you to think and not what the fan thinks. It mostly consists of 4 hours of the fat guy (former Eagles Lineman Mike Golic) browbeating his effete counterpart (Greenberg) all the time. But Greenberg often deserves it. He says some of the most asinine comments ever uttered in Sports Talk radio history like when he states every rookie du 'jour in any sport suddenly is the greatest players in that sport's history. I loved his announcement to the world (when the Lakers got Malone and Payton) that the Lakers are World Champs and that there is no reason to play the season. Like all of his predictions, totally unfounded and flat-out wrong. Greenberg is a multiple winner of the show's Just Shut Up Award, which is supposedly reserved for sports personalities. He claims to be a suave metrosexual which makes my skull bleed internally when he starts to talk about it. I will admit, he's a handsome dude in a Will & Grace kind of way. Twice, on national radio, he suffered the ignominy of being late because he had a flat tire and didn't know how to fix it. Greenberg is the stereotypical smart Jewish boy who went to a fancy college (Northwestern) who knows sports from what he read and watched and not from playing (Hey, that could apply to me if I were smart and went to a fancy college). The world needs more Hank Greenbergs and less Mike Greenberg
zuchinibut 10/03/2005
I flip between a few shows on my drive to work in the morning and Mike & Mike is one of them. I know I definitely don't tune in to hear Mike Greenberg, but more for the show itself. Anything that talks sports in the morning would probably entertain me, so I definitely don't give Mike Greenberg any credit for me listening to his show.
Gator626 09/18/2005
The ESPN clique makes me want to barf over and over. Same material, same ESPN kiss up guests (hey Mike's lets invite Bill Walton on the show a few more times a week). ESPNews provides as much entertainment as this waste of air space. Give me something that will make me think, not a bunch of asinine The Eagles will finish 7-9 predictions. Hey Greenberg, how far up your *** did you have to go to pull out that one? Oh and if I hear that clown Eric Kusilias on that show (or any ESPN show for that matter), I will break my radio and any radio I come within handling distance to.
troy cowboys 08/21/2005
your the best, keep it up.keep mike golic in line.
surfsnook 08/05/2005
So boring on my morning commute that I turn on NPR. No passion, no controversy, just dry monotone. Can't we have Jim Rome---now there's some pizzazz! Coaches are lively too and talk on the radio like they do in the locker room: even if it's good ol' boy talk, it's from the heart, it's real life, and the words come with a coach slap on the back, a coach kick in the butt, or coach fist grabbing your face mask. Here in Central Florida we have Coach Bowden (Bobby's son)on afternoon ESPN radio. He is not a rocket scientist, doesn't have a lot of dopey baseball stats, but he makes you feel like your standing on the sidelines with him and he's saying, Son, here's what I want you to do. That Mike and Mike stuff is dry, trite, and lifeless. Maybe if they were talking about opera....
37102002 04/03/2005
really smart guy. passionate about sports. got to give up it up for a fellow Northwestern Alum. Go Greeny!!!
baseballer 02/11/2005
Sports historians know that there are no absolutes. Everything comes down to opinion. Greenberg & Golic make for a fine yin & yang personally and professionally. In reference to alpepper's comment, I think a lot of what Greenberg says is part of his act (or, shtick if you're into the Yiddish thing). I'm not in love with the stereotype either. But I enjoy listening to knowledgeable people. These guys are simply great and EXTREMELY thought-provoking as they sometimes ask the hard questions no one else is willing to.
cjmcclure3 02/01/2005
The funest radio broadcast on all day.. Himself and Golic compliment each other very well!
Gmoney1010 01/06/2005
Awful. Like the last guy picked in kickball the guy has never played a legitimate sport in his life and thinks he knows it all nonetheless.
