 | X Factor Z (13) 04/10/2005 | Most of these are large gas guzzlers
and in time with high fuel prices
they are becoming an expensive frivolity.
Smaller SUVs and biodiesel may be the
rational choice for the future.

 | BIGBABY (10) 02/14/2005 | I can fully understand someone who really needs the extra space for people, storage, room, etc. The problem is that you can get all of that with a minivan. Minivans offer around the same amount of room as big SUV' but get better gas mileage and are less expensive. An average Ford Explorer is about $32k, which seats 7 max, three of them being squeezed in. The Ford Freestar minivan can seat 8, 6 comfotable for less money and better fuel economy. It really all depends on the certain SUV. Generalization of all SUv's as bad or good is a terrible idea. Like everything out there, there are good ones and bad ones.

 | gmanod (3) 02/10/2005 | They guzzle a ton of gas forcing us to be more aggressive in getting gas. I'm sure the leg room and eased penis complex is well worth our soldiers though.

 | Miss Magoo (0) 02/08/2005 | I had a Grand Jeep Cherokee Loredo that guzzled gas! That is the only problem I have had with it, everything else about it is fine.

 | numbah16tdhaha (147) 12/17/2004 | I'll have to take some level of responsibility for this list existing, I guess. I say if you have use for an SUV, buy them 'till you turn blue in the face. But if you bought it for a stupid reason, I hope you rot. I love them but I can't stand to see them wasted on nitwits.

 | AndrewScott (71) 12/14/2004 | Not personally. Plenty of large vehicle types require extra gas, so I think SUVs only get singled out because they are also a status symbol. The only person I know who openly admitted regretting her SUV choice was a real estate agent who had an occasional client have difficulties hopping in and out of her vehicle. At least SUVs allow soccer moms to have a hipper choice than the past fads of the minivan and the station wagon.

 | Mr.Political (18) 12/14/2004 | Personally, I enjoy luxury SUV's over those that are meant only for getting mud all over them. However, it does get me annoyed when I see cars dressed in ridiculous accessory's or the bling bling. And a note to Denver: one of my friends has an Excursion and that's one of the best SUV's out there. What do you drive a VW Bug? lol.

 | OrangeCharlie (5) 12/14/2004 | Someday we are all going to look back and laugh hysterically at SUV's (UNLESS THEY ARE ACTUALLY USED FOR OFF-ROADING). It's right up there with the low carb diet. Completely rediculous.

 | Mad Hatter (37) 12/14/2004 | Only with Luxury SUV's. The bandwagon SUV's like Cadillac, Lexus, Porsh, Hummer H2's, and any other vehicle that people are afarid to get a scratch on it. The only good SUV's are ones that someone would have no problem putting a few dings in on the four by four trails. Suv's built by Dodge, Chevy, Ford (sometimes), Toyota, Nissan, Hummer H1's and the original company of the SUV's Jeep are those SUV's that get the respect. They aren't the Bling-Bling, look at me SUV. These are the ones that love to get dirt, kick up some rocks, and plow through the mud. The only execption to the Luxury SUV's are Land Rovers. They are exspensive, but they can preform on the trails. TO DENVER: Obviously, you don't go out off roading much. If you sis, you would understand the point. Half the fun of four wheeling is getting your vehicle dirty.
