The original StarWars movies are so much better then the new ones. The old ones focus more on the actual stories, and don't get into the evil parts so much. They're better acted too.

Though I'm not that big a fan of Star Wars (and this is where I'd duck to avoid the volley of objects thrown at me), if this movie was rated number two in the top grossing movies of all time, then this may be more impressive than some think. If you take into account just dollars alone, you gotta think of it this way, too: How much did it cost to get into theaters back in 1977, as opposed to how much it costs now? Movie ticket prices are much higher nowadays. Then again, does this ranking takes into account its re-release into theaters?

Easily one of the most perfectly-made movies ever made. Totally solid from start to finish. The writing is spot on and the casting is perfect. A thrilling story between good and evil, Star Wars should not be missed by anyone.

Satsifying on a number of levels and a real achievement for the era. One of the great cinematic entertainment experiences.
