It tells you a lot about the state of the cinematic art form when a completely forgettable thrill ride of a film is in the top 10 all-time box office and a classic like "The Graduate" that is engrained in the consciousness of our culture is #278 a couple of notches below Brendan Fraser's finest hour "George of the Jungle".It's all about distribution, product placement and selling licensed merchandise. Serious examinations of the human condition are for limited release in the fall.

I don't know if it was better then the first one or not, but if it wasn't, it was pretty close. It had, I guess, a more exciting story line, and of course, everyone was waiting for that ending.
