One of the best opening scenes (or at least the most memorable) of any movie I've seen. What makes it more amazing as a movie is that it's based on a true story. Christopher Plummer rates high on my list of actors,. Can't say the same for Julie Andrews, although she did a great job in this movie. And what can I say about Charmian Carr? Wonder what ever happened to her.

By far, one of the most compelling classics of it's time. Julie Andrews, and Christopher Plummer are amazing.
