This is one of my favorite authors because not everyone can make sports interesting, but he does just that, and not without some humor along the way.

Great stylist and wordsmith, among the more literate of sports columnists. He recieved a lot of flack that was only mildly deserved for his slight fudging of an inconsequential sports story.... Which is kinda sad when you consider the abrogation of duty that has been exhibited by some in the National Media that has resulted in far more dire consequences...

Mitch Albom is one of the elite columnists in the nation. He is witty, funny, and at the same time, no nonsense... he says what the average fan thinks (and what the average columnist thinks but is too afraid to use column space for).
