UPDATED SEPTEMBER 15, 2009: I was at the Bear and Packers game on September 13, 2009, and had some great seats. We were seven rows from the rail in the North Pole end zone and saw lots of great action. Lambeau has really been upgraded from the old stadium that it was. The concourses are nice and wide, lots of great concessions, and you don't have to wait in line for a quarter to get into the bathroom since the refit.
Most of the seats are the old type backless benches, and that is tough for senior citizens such as I. Hot tip, here, however, and that is you can rent portable seats with a back on them for six bucks. That is a bargain at any price.
The problem with the end zone is that you get a lot of those no-neck Northern Wisconsin types who have been priming for the game for about three days. Lots of louts, in other words, but Lambeau is always worth the trip. It should be on your bucket list if not there already.
UPDATED SEPTEMBER 10, 2009: I will be at Lambeau on Sept. 13, 2009, for the Bears @ Green Bay. I will be in the end zone and wearing orange. I should be easy to spot (chortle.)
ORIGINAL COMMENT: The fact that is in a town as small as Green Bay is a story onto itself. To go to Lambeau is to make a pilgrimage.

Nice classic NFL stadium. However, this is 2008. A NFL franchise should be domed. Especially in Greenbay Wisconsin! I get mad when I hear about Greenbay winning a game because the snow plow came out and cleared a spot for the field goal kicker. Or, a game dubbed the "Ice Bowl." I want to see the best team win, not the best snow adapted team.

Lambeau is great itself but never eat at Curley's Pub! Yesterday I was denied a beer because it is their "company policy" that ID's which say "under 21 until xx-xx-xx" are not valid to them. I'm 25 years old and have an ID that is a legal document saying I am 25 everywhere in the world except for Curley's Pub? Please! After my beer debacle we waited 1 hour to get food for our table of 7 eventhough we were the second group in the restaurant on gameday. Then when our bill finally came they wouldn't split it up so our 3 separate couples could each pay, because it was "company policy". So after the horrible service we recieved we were forced into giving a 15% tip. Everyone should go see Lambeau as it is a great place to watch a game, but stay away from Curley's Pub.

Being a Viking fan, I got to see the first loss at Lambeau under 32 degrees in the playoffs to the Falcons a few years ago which was awsome, but as far as i'm concerned, there isn't a much better place to be. One problem, I hate winter.

The greatest football stadium known to man. It is, quite simply, the "Mecca" of football.

First off, the oldest and most storied pro football stadium. The list of past and future Hall of famers goes on and on. Then there is the fact that you sit and see where Starr ended the Ice Bowl. The endless streak of sell outs. And now with the modern upgrades. It is THE pro football shrine. The Mecca of pro football. Don't forget The Frozen Tundra. I could wax poetic on and on.

absolutly shocked that everyone didn't give this stadium a 5. There is no expierence like it in any sport period. no comparisons and no arguement, the best hands down

What every NFL stadium should be. Not a bad seat in the house!
Alexg681 02/05/2005
No doubt that Lambeau Field should get 5 stars.

Then all you Packers fans have never been to ARROWHEAD. If you want a Real NFL experience, travel to KC MO and go to Arrowhead. It is the BEST and LOUDEST stadium in the NFL(domes excluded, they are not REAL football stadiums)

nothing better

Lambeau Field is the best NFL stadium I have ever been in. There is not a bad seat in the house. The concessions are vastly improved, The concourses are bigger and Bathrooms are much inproved also. The restrants in the atrium are open all year around. The food is awsome. I recommend the planked wallye at Curley's Pub. In short this is what a foot ball stadium should be!!!!

Lambeau has great history! How can you not love Lambeau?
TheBuckMan!! 03/09/2004
History....history....history. What is wrong with you people, if it doesn't have a fancy name like Heinz or Invesco, it's crap? Publically owned team, publiclly owned stadium, great atomsphere, and no stupid a$$ roof.
melott 01/26/2004
Even with the stupidest song/chant Go Pack Go! choreographed by some God awful creation, and the Goblins who sit in the seats, (where do these people come from), this is the best pro football venue, it's the closest thing to a great college atmosphere, which few NFL teams can match.

The best place to watch pro sports of any kind just got better with a 250 million dollar renovation. This place is so amazing - not to mention that the fans paid for the stadium out of their own pockets. Talk about an amazing organization. If you haven't been to Lambeau, you need to make the trip. You won't be disappointed.

I went there for their playoff game against the Falcons in Jan. 2003, and the only bad thing I can say about the place is that the Packers play there and Packer fans go there. The place is Holy Ground when it comes to football.
