This is supposed to be about rating the stadium not the fans or the players, THE STADIUM. The Eagles new home has proven to be the the best stadium in the NFL, that is why a lot of players are being drawn to come to Philly more so now than in the past. HANDS DOWN THE BEST STADIUM.

Eagles fans are the worst! They aren't even loyal to their teams. The city in general has a image problem, they booed Santa Claus! I heard a story that a Giants fan was in the bathroom and a Eagles fan beat him up and then pissed on him, that's just disgusting and it wouldn't happen anywhere else. If you need a jail cell in your stadium, you have issues dudes!

The sightlines are tremendous. Video screens along both endzones provide great visuals. The fan is definitely closer to the field than the Vet, which I don not miss in the least. Up close to the cheerleaders and the teams.

The new stadium is certainly a step up from the Vet. It has most of the amenities that you find in the new ball parks elsewhere. There were a number of things that I didn't like. First, it looks like they had about three different designs to choose from and decided to try to implement all three in one stadium. The place is asymetrical and disjointed in design. It is just a bit weird. Another thing is that there is no marking once you walk into a section to indicate exactly where you are. They had plenty of people there to help, but this is an easy problem to solve. They should just put up some extra signs. I wasn't thrilled with the bathrooms. They should have went with the troughs instead of urinals. Troughs allow many more people to relieve themselves at once. I also don't understand why they didn't go for automatic sinks. I absolutely hate those things that you push down and let turn off automatically. They never stay on long enough. For all the great new electronic gadgets that they have in the stadium, they only managed to flash the out of town scores twice through the entire game, and the scores were up and down so fast that I couldn't even read through them all. The main thing that really doesn't measure up at the Linc compared to other places that I have been to is the location. It sucks to get in and out of there. There aren't many options beyond sitting in traffic because there is nothing else down there but the sports facilities. By comparison, just across the state in Pittsburgh, you can park downtown and walk across one of two bridges to the game. You can also park in Station Square on the South Side and take one of the ferries across the river or pull up in your own boat. Of course, you can park on the North Shore by Heinz Field as well. There are about a dozen bars and a bunch of restaurants on the North Shore around the new stadiums in Pittsburgh. Traffic in Pittsburgh is still not a joy on game days, but at least you have many options right there other than just going back to your car and tailgating or sitting in traffic. If you don't want to drink or eat, the North Shore has a public park and memorial along the river. You also have the option of a short walk across a bridge to downtown, so you are walking distance from everything from hotels and shops to theaters and museums. It doesn't look like Philadelphia put much thought into the Linc beyond the building itself. There is no other development down there at all. Hopefully, the people who run the Linc will get feedback in this first year and correct some of the easily fixable complaints. In addition, that crackpot who is running Philly needs to encourage some real development down by the new stadiums. Overall, I give the stadium itself a modest thumbs up, and the location a big thumbs down.

By all accounts a fantastic stadium and a huge upgrade from the Vet (what wouldn't be?) Too bad the Eagles suck when they play there.
