 | STIFFPETER (0) 04/10/2005 | DESPITE THE 9/11 ATTACKS HOPKINS GOT TO BE WITH HIS FAMILY. TITO GOT STUCK IN NEW YORK TILL THE FIGHT, BUT HOPKINS WAS THE BETTER FIGHTER ALL TOGETHER. BOTH ARE GREATS.

 | callitdowntheline75 (69) 10/19/2004 | The reason Hopkins vs. Trinidad was so important was that it cemented Bernard Hopkin's career in the eyes of boxing afficionados. Hopkins, today, is considered amongst the greatest middleweights ever- on par with both greats, Marvelous Marvin Hagler and Carlos Monzon. For Felix Trinidad, it proved he was the equivalent of Kid Icarus. But Trinidad may still be considered a great someday. And a little humility may help him also. Nevertheless, Hopkins showed why he was the better man with his patience and skill. Trinidad had no other way than to just take the beating he got that night.
