When I was in High School we used to listen to this album before every football game to get ready and pumped up at the same time. I think this album is all killer and no filler. All the songs are great, Fight Fire With Fire. Ride the Lightning, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Fade to Black, those are the most popular songs on the album(first side for the record or cassette), but I think the rest of the album is just as solid. Trapped Under Ice, Escape, Creeping Death and The Call of Ktulu(Instrmental) are all great heavy metal songs. Creeping Death is always played during their live shows with the whole crowd screaming DIE!

Among my favorite albums of all time. Starts with the blazing fast song 'Fight Fire With Fire'. 'Fade to Black' was Metallica's first slower song since their start in 1982. To finish off the album is the symphonic composition 'Call Of Ktulu'.

A simply incredible album with the masterpiece of all of metallica's songs Fade to Black which is so beautiful along with it's metal edge. Creeping Death and For whom the bells told just simply complete this magnificent album and dont forget the talented instrumental song The call of ktulu. awesome album.
