This album is total non-stop energy from the get go. Easily one of the greatest albums of the 80's, not just in Hard Rock/Heavy Metal, but in all the music produced in the decade.

Raw thrash at it best. When Metallica was in its early years, it still showed that they had major potential.

The album that lauch two new genres of heavy metal (thrash and speed). The five men that contributed to this album(James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, Cliff Burton, and Dave Mustaine{though no longer in the group at this point in time, he co wrote 4 metal classics}) would help forever seal metal's foundation in music. This album is filled with classics (stand outs include "Four Horsemen," "Whiplash," "No Remorse", and "Seek and Destroy")
