Being the age I am it's very hard to say whether the target market appreciates this program. There is no doubt that it is a quality piece of programming, but I can't help but feel it's lost it's way given the high tech competition, or even just against the maddingly annoying wiggles. Perhaps it's time for a make over.

It made me want to read books. What could be wrong about that.

I loved this show when I was younger. It always made me want to read more and more. I think the fact that I like to read now is because this show always talked about great books and I wanted to read them myself. This is a great show and I think that all kids should watch it.

Terrific show as always. My 10, 7 and almost 2 year old children all watch it and it has something for all of them.

Though it lacks liveliness when the pictures in the book are shown (comparing to Between the Lions), It was meant to be as many chldren from ages 5-8 are starting to watch more TV and become more advanced in reading. Instad of silly, slapstick programming on the other reading show, the episodes that LeVar Burton stars in relate the book into real life experiences, which can help our children be aware of what's gong on around them. Though CBS Storybreak is a good alternative, it is off the air now, so this is the best show that advocates reading today.
