Another 30 minute piece of worthy entertainment. Gunn (Craig Stevens) was a sophisticated private eye who would take on cases where the police, given the vagaries of law-enforcement, were unable to proceed. Lieutenant Jacoby (Hershell Bernardi) played ‘Inspector Lestrade’ to Gunn’s ‘Sherlock Holmes.’ Henry Mancini’s score was groundbreaking in establishing mood and became a classic. Not at all distracting were Gunn’s regular visits with singer Edie Hart (alluring Lola Albright) at ‘Mother’s’, the nightclub where Edie performed.
