A Gunslinger with reasonable Accuracy. A Product of the West Coast offence and wasn't anything special. Good coaching made him good, but has never been great. Made MVP 3 time's, and he deserved every one. Nice win over the Patriots in Super Bowl XXIX. Will go to the Hall of Fame, but won't be one of the Greatest.
allenjohnson 12/15/2006
greatest of all time.. you cant deny him a spot at the top.. he is on the record books on mostly everything.
Ih8rateitall 03/08/2006
A few years ago a 4 or a 5. Farve. His "duck wobblers", or passes are awful. He chucks them blindy in the air! He takes no responsibility for his terrible interceptions. Some of his passes are mistakes I'd expect from a rookie, not a future hall of famer. He has the all American good boy image, and I like that, I'm a all American male as well, but his pocket presence is gone, gone like the wind dudes! I got tired of the media trying to make us feel sorry for him. Guess what, I've lost close people in my life too. Face it, he's no longer an elite qb, probably closer in the middle of the pack.
numbah16tdhaha 02/07/2006
He's hung on for too long and that is gonna mess with how he's remembered. Whether SOMEBODY wants to talk about it or not, he led the league in Interceptions last year with 29. Make sure you include that in your stat fest and also remember that the next highest total was 17. His legacy at this point will be that of a great QB who should have hung it up sooner.

I like Brett but this guy is really protected. He has went from a superbowl qb to a interception machine. It's not all of Brett's fault but I'm tired of people protecting Brett and blaming everyone else. I think I caught one of Brett Favre duck passes while sitting in my living room.
PackersRule 11/12/2005
old age is slowing him down, but not a lot. I think he is close to all those big records too. He'll get them next season, and hopefully another superbowl.
dustintothemax 11/04/2005
too many ints

Favre is one of those guys with the oh so rare trait that even if you hate the packers, you still have to love number 4. He doesn't complain, or showboat, just does his job, and when he gets in the zone, forget it. Very few pro players, aka michael jordon have the ability to take over a game single handedly, and Favre is one of those guys. He is amazing to watch, he has got that extra "quality" that can't be measured. Thats why other players have so much respect for number "4". Just an overall incredible player, best player I have ever seen play...bar none! I have seen quite a few!!!

The closest person to Dan Marino ( stat wise ) Brett Farve is a great QB even at his old age he still passed for like 4,000+ passing yards last year i think
bobojo 09/08/2005
The BEST! Talent, strength, desire, attitude, perseverance, leadership, courage, spirit, enthusiasm; as a player and as a role-model Brett is THE MAN. His stats/records are indisputable.
jack_daniels 09/06/2005
Toughest QB ever.
Steve22 08/30/2005
the best qb to ever play the game. Hopefully the packs defense is better this year.
journey2006 05/10/2005
The greatest QB that I've ever seen play the game
GB4Life 04/25/2005
The man is a legend. anyone who claims he sucks because he throws interceptions only watches Brett to see interceptions and does not watch for the good things, the things only he can do. He's love for the game is like no other of his time. He is simply what ever NFL teams wants
mtbmlb 03/08/2005
A great quarterback. The Packers are lucky to have him.

Let's look at the facts: Joe Montana never put up numbers anywhere near Favre. But he has more rings because of the unbeatable system and HOF roster. John Elway had a higher INT per game average and a lower TD per game average. He had less yards and less wins. He won in his final two years, but hmmm, does anyone remember that guy named Terrell Davis? What, a 2000 yard season the same year they won the SuperBowl? Must be a coincidence. Oh, let's not forget Unitas. Actually, maybe we shall, considering he had almost as many INTs as TDs and only threw 3000 yards three times. Favre has done that.. hmm, I believe its 15 times now? And he's topped 4000 four times? Marino? Yeah, he was good, but you would be contradicting yourself by saying that Montana ranks above Favre, but so does Marino. Um, he didn't win a single SB, I believe. And, hmm... I'm not sure, but I think he had some awesome offenses in his 18 or how ever many year tenure.
SirKayGee 01/19/2005
The most overrated QB of all time? He's an interception machine, particularly in the playoffs. He had just one great year between 98 and 2002, yet was considered an elite QB while putting up ratings of 74.4 and 78.0 back-to-back (99-00). The consecutive games streak would be more impressive had he not been taking illegal painkillers for half of it.
BEAR 51 01/16/2005
SUCKS
ackackack 01/09/2005
Great quartbacks don't single handedly lose playoff games for their teams year in and year out by making horrible, horrible decisions. He gets 3 stars for sheer atheletic ability, but without that, the man is Danny Weurfel.
proballer22 12/31/2004
Best Ever. If he plays 3 more years he will have all the major QB records. Has a SB ring, and is awesome

Brett Favre is the Best quarterback to ever play in the NFL. Every player to ever play in the league idolizes him and for a good reason. His numbers back it up, he doesn't gloat, he just gets the job done.
joey is a bsb 10/02/2004
one of the greatest qb's of all time and the only one to get 3 consecutive league mvp awards
clarkone68 09/14/2004
Ehhh, he's in the 20s because???????? He's clearly top 10 to anybody who has a clue about football.
Duke.U.S.C 07/21/2004
NOT THERE YET!
GBPackersfan 06/28/2004
Your running back is for rushing the ball, not your quarterback. And considering Favre rarely gets sacked, I don't see why leaving the pocket is that big of a deal. He is one of the best, if not THE best, quarterbacks of all time. He is extremely talented and elevates the play of the athletes around him.
signman 06/18/2004
Obvious
lahell84 05/30/2004
was the best qb from 95-97 but has declined since... but still a HOF... great battles with 49ers pre-garcia
mikeymovie 05/05/2004
Great, but also extremely overrated. He is a very dangerous QB but also makes way too many mistakes to be considered amongst the all-time greats. His durability is impressive though.
123kid 05/02/2004
THE GREATEST FOOTBALL PLAYER EVER LOOK HE HAS NEVER MISSED A GAME IN HIS CARRER
Favreisthemast er4 03/23/2004
Greatest ever, bar-none. (go to current players to get my whole synopsis)Favre is God!
mocs83 03/04/2004
probably the second best quarterback in history. behind Dan Marino
1JohnDoeFan 01/13/2004
Overrated!!! The only reason why he has played so many consecutive straight. He never gets out of the pocket, scrambles for some yards. The only thing he is good at is throwing the ball 6000 yards. THAT'S IT!!!
