This is the best stadium in the NFL and I am not a Texans fan. The top retracts more than any other stadium with a retractable roof. 70,000 all "good" seats. Nicer than newer stadiums designed after it like University of Pheonix Stadium and Lucas Oil Field. All NFL teams should have a covered dome for bad weather especially in 2008. I want to see the best football team win not the best team at adapting to bad weather. If I were the NFL commisioner I would make it a requirement.

Football should be played outdoors even when it is hot or raining.

Architectural design is not great...too boxy...could have been more creative.

This stadium is amazing. It's freakin loud at times, great welcoming fans, and a very clean stadium. Great job Houston.

Nicer new stadium, better for baseball than football.

Season ticket holder here: During 3rd down plays on defense, you cant hear the person next to you no matter how hard you try.

the aesthetics are a little wierd, but this is a great facility otherwise. On TV it seems like the seats go on forever and that the sea of fans will never end. From the outside, its size makes the Astrodome look like a parking garage. This place has already had a Super Bowl and it's going to host the NCAA Final Four in 2011. Houston residents had better get used to hosting these events, 'cause this stadium is very a very good host site.

The BEST stadium in the world. no other facility compares to it. 2004 superbowl was a major success. normally its an honor for a superbowl to be taking place in a stadium, but in this case, it was an honor for the Superbowl to be in this stadium. Houston brings another marvel to the stadium/arena world, they are king of stadium innovation!

Pure class all the way! HOK builds another outstanding facility.

Out of the new stadiums that have been built, I would rate Reliant and Heinz Field as the best. This place is awesome. The retractable roof is awesome, and even better Texans' management usually leaves it opened unless there is a downpour or it is unusually hot. The facilities themselves are state-of-the-art, great tailgating in a huge parking lot, and they have a grass field. I feel pretty confident that Reliant will become part of the rotation for the Super Bowl.

I would have given it one star if not for the ability to open the roof. Two things that don't belong in football stadiums, fake grass and a ceiling over the playing field! This place is just too antiseptic for football.

One of a kind in the NFL. Of the new stadiums, only Seahawks Stadium is even close. One of the intangibles is the huge festive atmosphere surrounding the stadium before, during, and after the game. They have really taken to tailgaiting in Houston, and it is a sight to see! Hats off to the Texans' management for doing it right. The sight lines inside are very good for viewing the game, the indoor club level is quite swank, and, best of all, the Texans make every effort to keep the roof opened for every football game. After all, that is the way football was meant to be played!
