 | Brandy203 (1) 10/04/2005 | This is a fun show to watch and play along with, it really does get your mind thinking....Im not as good as it as I would like to be but hopefully the more I play and watch it the better I will get....I do wish they added more money to the winnings of the game though, they make it too hard to win 5,000 or 10,000 dollars. I see most of the people leave out with only a couple hundred dollars, its more fun to watch when the contesstants win big...good show 5 stars*****

 | ClassicTVFan47 (36) 06/29/2004 | At least it's educational...Lingo has tons of wasted potential. First off, the show is in obvious need of a Score Productions theme song--the current one is unremarkable and unmemorable. Secondly, the set looks awful--where are the bright colors and flashing lights? Thirdly, objectionable content in a gameshow don't work. Only Chuck Wollery and the co-host are the bright spots are in this otherwise uninspired gameshow.

 | JoeCool (0) 09/04/2003 | I love this game show, it's totally addictive. Lingo is basically word bingo with two teams. 5 chances to correctly guess a 5-letter word. If the word doesn't exist or it's mispelled, the other team gets a bonus letter (unless there's already 4 showing) and a chance to guess. It's similar to Master Mind in that you get hints if there are letters that are in that word and not necessarily in the right place. After correctly guessing the word, you have your Lingo "card" with 10 free spaces filled in at random, and you pull out numbered balls and try to get 5 in a row on your card. Guessing a word gives you points and achieving a lingo gives you double points.
This is a fun easy game, and it's incredible how dumb some people are when all the letters are there and scrambled in front of you and they still can't figure it out! There have been some good players though. I really enjoy watching this show, it's something I can do, and hope to go on someday.
