 | Limpin' Trenchfoot (18) 11/21/2006 | This album is typical of the anthemic drivel people waves flags and ciggie lighters to at gigs. God I hate this po-faced, 'serious', humourless dross. I'm not sure whether it's Paul Hewson's vocals or David Evans irritating flanged guitar that gets on my t*ts the most. Incidentally, I don't acknowledge anyone by self-given nicknames.

 | magellan (179) 12/30/2005 | A powerful and hard-hitting record that has stood the test of time. "New Year's Day" and "Sunday Bloody Sunday" are classics and some of the deeper tracks such as "Like A Song" and "Surrender" are outstanding as well.
Even as a kid listening to this when it came out, I sort of knew this was something special. Still gets a listen from time to time, and I consider to "War" to be one of U2's three best albums along with Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby.

 | Jason1972 (6) 10/17/2002 | A politically charged underrated album. Great tunes. A college rock mainstay album.
