I have listened/watched Ms Raddatz reporting and commentary for all her years on national media. She is great. I look forward to hear what she has to say!

I look forward to her reporting. She is intelligent, well informed and to the point. Not another cutesy. She certainly in the league to compete with any male reporter. Keep up the very good work Martha.

Back from Iraq. Well informed. Balanced picture. Wish more journalists were like this.

Martha recently spent time in Iraq with my brother and his troops. The program she did was amazing and I think she is an incredibly brave woman.

Not that good. Needs to do her homework.

In the Washington Week Webcast of May 7th Martha Raddatz said, ... it was General Abizaid, Commander of Central Command, who first went to General Myers; and that's the chain of command, to Abizaid, Myers, Rumsfeld.... THIS IS INCORRECT. The Commanders of each Combatant Command report directly to the Secretary of Defense. The Joint Chiefs of Staff serve as advisors to the Secretary of Defense and to the President, but are NOT in the chain of command (except within their own staffs, of course). It is astounding that Martha Raddatz could have made a major point (not just a slip of the tongue) based on such an obvious error.

It seems to me her voice is not professional grade. However, her style makes her a very good fit at WNT.

Who is she anyway?

Formerly at The State Department, now at the Pentagon, Raddatz covers defense for ABC News. She's a solid, authoritative reporter. She also appears on PBS' Washington Week in Review, and does reports for ABC News' Nightline with Ted Koppel.
