Nothing really sets this place apart from other generic restaurants. Good basic food at moderate prices. The only thing I probably won't be having again is the Sunday buffet - it's a cholesterol laden greasey paradise if you need that sort of thing, very tasty, but absolutely unhealthy.

Marie Calendar foods have really helped change my lifestyle eating habits. I am a diabetic, and have been hospitalized twice within the past year. I have been told by hospital nutritionist that I must not go over forty five carbs per meal. I really don't know how to count carbs for meals I would prepare for myself. While there are some MC meals that go over my required number,the majority of my foods are within my nutritionists required range. I eat MC frozen foods; I cannot say how thankful I am to have found foods that I truly enjoy. I wish I would have been fortunate enough to have had these meals served me in the hospital, because I would rather not have eaten their foods. When I got out of the hospital in late October after having stayed in the hospital for four days, I finally decided what to do to better my health, and found Marie Callandar foods. The food is so tasty; and in perfect portions. I have not found one meal that I have disliked. If it was up to me, I would have Marie Callandar meals served in the hospital. I could go on and on, but I just wanted to give my sincere thanks for my new life choices.

Food like grandma used to make. Good home-style cooking and service has always been fine for me. Mostly eat at one in Salem, Oregon. The pies are really good too.

Dont ever eat the French onion soup!! it is terrible... Im afraid to try anything else there. They really need to find a group of staff that cares about what they are serving to their customers.

I have never been to a Marie Callender's restaurant but I have had their frozen dinners which are pretty good.

Quite possibly the worst meal I was ever served. I ordered the pot roast and it arrived as one piece of meat and two fist size pieces of white gelatinous fat covered in gravy. The vegetables served with it were partially rotten and black inside. It was disgusting and completely inedible. It seemed like the kind of food one would find at the bottom of a dumpster. I grew up with Marie Callendar's and have eaten there probably once a month for my entire life. No more, this place has totally gone down hill.

Their food is actually really good. And down homey also. I loe their chicken pot pie, soup, THE PIES. Everything their is good. And in California you can definitely tell the clientele is more Old fashioned, kind of southern belle type. Ladies who you think would be named Betty and Rose instead of Michela and Kriztyne But yes, I would reccomend everything there. Life is just too short to live on diet food. Dig In!

We live right up the way from this place and my grandmother and I always like to go here for lunch. I love their turkey and desserts.

This is one of the most over rated places you can find. Most of the food tastes like it was made from one of their microwave meals. Last time I ate at one I was near the kitchen and it did not look very clean. Have never felt well after eating at a Marie Callenders.

Have found the food to be bland. Every time.

Marie Calendar's has good food and excellent pies. I have only had 1 bad experiecne with the food and all of my pie experiences were wonderful. I reccommend the pumpkin pie and chocolate satin. The chocolate satin is a very rich, chocolaty pie with an oreo cookie crust. Anyone who needs a pie for a special occasion should try Marie Callendars!

Stop cleaning the floors while diners are eating. Keep those curtains washed-they usually have an 1/2 of dust on them. When you order a meat sandwich, there should be enough meat in it that you feel like you are getting your money's worth. Don't go in the middle of the afternoon-takes forever to get service-as has been my experience. Due to a bad experience today, I am off of this restaurant for a long time. They could have handled my bad experience there today much better-they chose not to.

This used to be great, I loved the big ham stack sandwich that they used to have. I read that Don Callender sold off all of them except three. He still owns the oringal I think it's NewPort Beach, Costa Mesa and one other place. Has anyone been to one of Them ?

Good food, decent breakfasts, and great pies. My favorite pie is the Fresh Peach Pie, with whipped Cream.

The food's OK but not my favorite. They do however have this salad dressing that I love! So, for that dressing, I eat there.

This place is Okay. The pies are good. But...I like Cyrus O'Leary's pies 10 times more. The other good thing about Cyrus O'Leary's is that the food is awsome too! And the environment is way cooler. The food here at Marie's doesn't seem to taste any better than their frozen entrees in teh supermarket....and it should taste better than that.

The food is just OK, however the pies are consistently good. Just go in and pick up a pie (instead of a cake) for a party sometime - it's a nice change of pace.
