Great fight...in my opinion as good as the first...the moment when the two embrace before the final round due to mutal respect is amazing...one of the most touching moments I've ever seen in sports. Greatest trilogy in boxing history!

What a good-bye for Mickey Ward this fight was. In his last bout as a professional boxer Ward and Gatti put on yet another spectacle. Gatti not only won the fight but the hearts of thousands as he fended off and fought back a charging Ward after breaking his hand in the fourth round. Arturo took the fight the full ten and the unanimous decision. Both fighters left it all in the ring that night. A fitting farewell for "Irish" Mickey Ward despite the L in the column.

let me say this it was better than the second but the 1st one will always bea classic!

Another crazy back-and-forth war, almost as good as the first fight. I was glad to see Ward retire after finally being rewarded for all his exciting fights, and I hope gatti can secure a fight with champion Kostya Tszyu, another action-fighter with great power, plenty of skills and underrated defense.
