It's primarily spoken in Romania and Moldova (Moldovan's basically the same language), so its usefulness is pretty limited. However, it sounds pretty cool. It's like a mixture between Italian and Russian. Nevertheless, it'd be pretty amazing if one found a program in the U.S. that taught Romanian. You'd probably have to go to Romania or Moldova to do that.

Romanian is a Romance language and more closely related to Latin than even Italian. Like Latin and unlike French, however, the nouns are declined (meaning put into ablative, dative, accusative etc. forms) which makes it a bit trickier. It's a very nice sounding language kind of sounding like a cross between Russian and Italian. I loved speaking and listening to it.
