Very funny and knowledgeable. It's a shame he is on so late on the east coast nowadays.
letsplaytwo08 11/07/2008
He yells and makes fun of people i guess that is sports radio.
tlooney 12/04/2007
Bruno's show has sucked for the last couple of years. I was as excited as anyone when he returned to the airwaves but his constant negative attitude and completely worthless partner make the show a difficult listen
dave123 11/22/2007
Bruno is darned good. He gets it. I give him big time props for being fun fresh and not so full of himself.
jim12456789 11/09/2007
the best on the air
submariner627 09/20/2007
Tony Bruno...absolutely the best ! His unique perspective and irreverent humor are unlike any other "sports" talking head on the air. He is extremely intelligent and charismatic. His interviews with various coaches / athletes / personalities are great. He doesn't get combative like Dan Patrick (whose arrogance is annoying...luckily he's out...along with the pseudo-intellectual-liberal Olbermann) or suck-up like the ESPN lapdogs Mike & Mike. Cowherd is just an opinionated jerk. No wonder his old lady kicked him to the curb. Rome is okay, but Caliendo does the Jim Rome shtick better than Rome does.
bigyaz 09/19/2007
Tony is awesome. Doesn't take sports or himself too seriously, unlike no-talents like Cowherd. As for Indycoltdude, I haven't heard comments like "If you like them you are an idiot" since junior high.

Bruno sucks, He and Willard giggle like two schoolboys at their own sophomoric stupidity. They suck so bad that I listen to religious programming at work instead. I dare anyone to ignore the giggles and actually listen to them. Even their promos suck. If you like them you are an idiot.

THIS GUY SUCKS AND BLOWS GARY RADNICH !!!!
HE IS THE WORST PERSONALITY ON THE RADIO(EXCEPT RADNICH)
brickman 06/24/2007
he is the worst i can't believe his high rating

the best
cubswin5 03/08/2007
Very good show. not dull but not some much energy that you get annoyed. And he is smart enough to know that a great host can still have a side kick.
surfDUI 07/28/2006
Bruno is the consumate sports radio host. Opinionated without being opinionated for the sake, accurate, and well connected. Screw Andrew Sciilliano- Mark Willard is a great talent in his own right, hilarious and young enough to keep Tony on track. 6 stars out of 5.
lomie 12/01/2005
tony rules!
mmask76 11/07/2005
Bring "The Herd" back to Tampa!! This guy stinks, PERIOD!!
the debster 10/10/2005
I was traveling on the highway recently and saw a billboard saying "He's Back"...Tony Bruno on a New Braunfels TX station.....I nearly drove off the road! I tuned in the next day and was back in HEAVEN! I immediately went out and bought a XM radio so I can hear my hero daily now!(San Antonio has not picked it up yet). I miss Andrew and Krystal.........but I listen to Bruno...he is the man! All is right with the world again.
SNRFan 09/19/2005
"The Man" is back!!!! VEW: Take some notes as to how it's done. Tony's already taken your time slot in Indy. I feel most bad for Andrew - he is very talented, and he and Tony were a great team. FSR: I hope you learned your lesson, but you probably didn't - even with your affiliates dropping VEW's show, or reducing their hours - couldn't happen to a bigger bunch of idiots. Tony rules!
Tony Town live 09/14/2005
Tony, I love Tony Bruno. But you have to be able to multi-task. I'm a woman, I don't like sports - but he makes me want sports. Even Lacrosse. The man thinks the way most non skeeza women have to, about everything all the time five minutes ahead of time. CAUSE TONY IS A REAL MAN. Hey, the other guys are on the radio freeway, pretending they can drive. Tonys on the autobahn baby! Just let him pull up to your bumper, baby. Cause Tony can keep up!
2fathom 08/29/2005
I, too, miss Tony Bruno. My mornings have not been the same until yesterday. A new sports talk radio station here in San Antonio picked up Tony Bruno on Sporting News Radio. I can't wait. Wouldn't it be great if Andrew could rejoin Tony? Sigh. Stein and VEW are TERRIBLE!!! We want real entertainment.
C.DELGADO1026 08/26/2005
I WOULD CHANGE NOTHING ON HOW TONY DOES HIS SHOW. I ALWAYS ENJOY HIS CREATIVE WAYS OF KEEPING THE LISTENERS ATTENTION. HE IS NOT AFRAID TO GIVE HIS OPINION AND IS NOT BIAS BY ANY MEANS. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
xfgnfsfghs 08/11/2005
He's one of the wors hosts in radio. Can't focus on the topic. Like too many of the players he covers, he'd prefer to hear his own name repeated to actually conveying information his listeners might take interest in. It was with great delight that I noted he was off the Fox network show. Now I can listen Andrew again without having to try to ignore Tony Bruno's constant sermons about this or that. Bruno is, to put simply, a bad broadcaster. I wish him all the best luck working at whatever convenience store it is that eventually hires him.
stepmar57 08/05/2005
Can't wait until he's back on the air on SNR! http://www.snraffiliates.com/shows/tony_bruno
Big C in Indy 08/01/2005
I hope that some radio syndication will get off their ass and give Tony runo a contract so he can get back on the air soon PLEASE!!!
Ed314 07/13/2005
For Tony Bruno fans: Go to www.1540theticket.com. The site has a live stream 6 - 9 AM. Tony is now on the local Los Angeles station, and Mark Willard is the co-host.
dickens cider 05/25/2005
I miss tony and jim rome. They went to some local hack down here in florida.. I hope tony will be on xm radio or jim.. i will take either one
evehenry 05/20/2005
Tony Bruno is by far the best sports talk host I have ever listened to, locally or nationally. I can't wait for him to get back on national sports talk radio. Many of his catch phrases are still being used on ESPN radio.
ehsfb2001 05/08/2005
2nd man is not even close. I dropped Fox like a hot rock when he left and haven't found anything else. Thank God he's back.
delgadoism 04/19/2005
does anyone ever wonder what ever happened to the 5 million dollar chandellier? i feel cheated as a sports talk radio fan! tony will forever be the best sports talk radio host. he was born for this. vew & fox deserve each other. good luck tony on your new venture! hope to hear you on my local dial soon.
Ouzo Tower 04/17/2005
Somebody made a big mistake when they took him off the air. He's gotta be back soon that kind of talent is too good to keep out of circulation.
cres 04/12/2005
HES BACK HES BACK HES BACK !!!!! According to the Daily News ... Tony Bruno, last heard in the morning drive on Fox Sports Radio more than a year ago, will reportedly resurface as the new 6-to-10 a.m. host on 1540-AM The Ticket starting next month as the permanent replacement for Roger Lodge.
Smitikid 03/27/2005
As of 4/4/05, Bruno will be back on the air in Los Angeles. Within four months he should be picked up by Sporting News Radio.
philly_fan10 03/06/2005
bruno, andrew, and krystal were the xtravaganza. van earl doesn't hold tony's jock. anybody know where bruno is now? what exactly were the reason for bruno's removal?
ccessna 03/01/2005
:( no more Tony Van Earl Wright was a poor replacement. Tony did not have an incredible amount of sports knowledge like some in the industry, but he was ver entertaining. Van Earl doesn't have sports knowledge and is not entertaining. I think we all miss Tony. And, he brings out the best in Andrew.
petwanel 02/25/2005
Fox, what have you done? bring Tony bac!
daninbaja 02/23/2005
VEW sucks. He's has to quit with the fake radio voice. He's a douche Bring back Bruno.
dawgking 02/17/2005
I miss hearing TB in the morning. I stopped listening to fox since VEW came aboard. Fox needs to rename the show and get rid of the extravaganza handle. it is just another sports talk show. Andrew is still the anchor on that program, but there isn't the chemistry there like it used to be.
masterofrealit y 02/16/2005
It's an outrage that Bruno appears nowhere on my radio dial. Fox's morning show cannot be called the extravaganza any longer. I don't thing that VEW can even define what extravaganza means. Get Bruno back. He was the reason I bought an XM satellite radio.
polaruno 02/16/2005
I really miss Tony also. I worked out of state most of last year and when I returned in December he was nowhere to be found. His replacement leaves a lot to be desired. Andrew should get the show with a new 2nd Banana and let Van Earl return from whence he came.
Choo-Unit 02/15/2005
We gotta find a way to get TonyB back on the mainstream radio. Sports radio just aint the same without him. I finally heard him this morning during an interview w/ Gary Radnich in SF... It made me realize how much I miss listening to that dude. COME ON, BRING HIM BACK!!!
GoTigers11 02/14/2005
I caught two seconds of the Van Earl Show (doesn't do justice calling it the extravaganza), and it was god-awful...has Fox seen what they've really done? Has TB resurfaced anywhere? He's too good not to be on the national sports talk scene.
Radio Rules 02/11/2005
TB was the whole show. What were they thinking with this Van Earl Wright? He is lame. This guy is nothing. It sounds like he is his own biggest fan. Zero to offer and it is a loss. Tony and Andrew were were perfectly balanced. Andrew didn't seem happy. VEW is painful to withstand.
miragena 02/10/2005
Bruno was the best at what he did on the Extravaganza, VAn Earl Wright cannot hold a candle to Tony and he knows it! Andrew and Krystal are o.k. However, bring back Tony and watch the ratings grow. Fire the guy that made the desision to screw up the Extravaganza. Get smart and turn a negative to a positive. BA
alpepper 02/08/2005
[8 FEB Update] Yes, I miss Tony sorely. He was like the cool older kid from the Block in South Philly that I respected for his smartness and toughness. Now he's gone, replaced by Van Earl Wright, formerly of Headline News. While Van Earl is not Tony, he does not deserve the savaging he is getting here. One thing I see happening is that long-time sidekick Andrew Siciliano (who I really like) is stepping up his game and is filling the void. Given the choice between listening to The Extraveganza or Mike&Mike, It's Van Earl and Andrew by a landslide. [Original Post] Sometimes insightful; always very, very funny. I espicially like him because he is a Philly Honk [Tony and I are both Temple grads and Tony was the Newsman for Philly's legendary WFIL Famous 56 in the '70s]. Tony's sidekicks Andrew Siciliano (very knowledgeable and funny) and Krystal Fernandez (she sounds adorable and a picture I've seen of her proves she is definitely adorable). The show has great sound bites, great interviews (Pistons' Coach Larry Brown and Hollywood Access host Pat O'Brien) are regulars on the show. If you are listening to the incredibly boring Mike & Mike on ESPN Radio, you need a dose of Tony Bruno to lively up your morning.
oiosmniushm 02/01/2005
Van sucks; he knows it too. Andrew knows Van sucks. Everybody knows Van sucks. This is better than re-signing Tony to a new contract?
Rosser27 01/31/2005
I've given Van Earl a chance and it's just not working out. He's slow to the punch and does not compliment Andrew's strong points. Get Bruno back now!!
Revrickb 01/31/2005
I don't know why there were contract problems. All I know is that I have tried to accept the changes. Won't happen. Bruno and Andrew were a great tandem. VanEarl and andrew try but just don't have it.
stackmoney 01/30/2005
the best talk show host nationaly. No body comes close. the best 4 hours out of my day. Its a sham that fox lit him go. Fox get a f------ clue. tony we will miss you.
FSRFan 01/27/2005
The best around! The Extravaganza and Fox Sports Radio hasn't been the same without him. I wrote as to his whereabouts - they just told me he's no longer with Fox Sports. What a shame - Van Earl isn't in the same league - not entertaining, not funny (and tries to be). I know of a few Fox Sports affiliates who have dropped the show - too bad - Andrew is very good, with the right co-host
