Take previous reviewers post, extract all the incoherent rantings, change "hateful" to "respected" for Callahan, deify Howie Carr, insert "Margery Eagan is a friggin' tool", add Joe Fitz as Father Time and you have a more accurate, if not sensible outline of the Herald.
The fact that the Boston Globe still is bleeding revenue and readers, even given the relative ineptness of the Herald's management, shows just how crappy the "Boring Broadsheet" truly is.

03/10/2006 | Has the opposite problems of The Globe. Basically, a smaller version of The N.Y. Post, filled with resentful Archie Bunker type columnists, particularly the hateful sports columnist Gerry Callahan, and a mean spirited hack named Howie Carr, who writes the same damn column every day about the graft and what not politicians, and they also have vapid disposable nonsense stories about celebs and B.S. Right wing diatribes for the most part, and sentimental Frank Capra type crap permeate this rag.
