A pretty-boy without much apparent range, who also appears to need a director who can motivate him. Adequate in Lord of the Rings, dull in Pirates of the Caribbean, and embarrassing in Troy.

Very good, and still has a long way to go. he should become one of the biggest actors of all-time.

LOTR is good because of Viggo and Sean Bean, POTC is good because of Geoffrey Rush and johnny depp, Troy is good because of Bana and Pitt, and the rest of Orlando's movies sucks.

Used to think he was a 5, now he's a 3.  He's been getting on my nerves lately.  However, it is fabulous that he's involved with ONE.

Orlando Bloom climbed up starting with the LotR series. From there he's gotten better and better. Of course since he SEEMS (but isn't) unnecessary to promote the Pirates of the Caribbean ticket box sales they will take him out of the 4th movie.

OMG I was reading some of these and I was up to like number 34 and all the sudden I realize wait all these people are putting him down and 2 stood out inperticular Emanuela--this person said He is pathetic in Troy and he is not that good looking either.To act in any adaptation by Homer it needs theatrical skills,extraordinary mimics, things that he has to study and practice. But this is show-biz and anything is possible, you don't have to be very gifted or very talented, you need luck and someone to invest in you (as a project). And I dont5 agree with that at all because he is a great actor soo aperantly you hav'nt seen Troy and this other one fierce_pajamas---said This guy is ranked 14?? The power of hormone-crazed women frightens me and I was just like what? Some of the people out there enjoy his acting not just his looks even if he is sexy some normal people no he is a good actor . I would really rate his acting at 2.5 but this site won't tabulate that. So instead of dropping him to a 2, I decided to bump him up to a 3... if for nothing else than the fact that he is hot!

There is no doubt about it, he does have talent. But, he needs more of a range. We shall see what kinds of roles he chooses in the future, I hope it's something different from what we are used to.

He's done very well so far and I think as he matures, he will improve drastically...getting more range and versatility. Another 10 for my daughter (14yrs)

I've only seen him in LOTR, but I have to say he's done the part of Legolas very well, and makes for a very convincing elf character. And, yes, he's attractive, but I'm tired of seeing him posted all over my sister's desktop at home. Ah, anyway, shows promise as an actor, I'd like to see more of his movies. UPDATE: Now, I'll have to piss off the teeny-boppers: Sorry, folks, after seeing a few more movies with him, I had to knock him down to a 2 from a 4. His performances in Troy, Pirates of the Carribean, and Kingdom of Heaven were mostly wooden and unimpressive. Yeah, he has that wide-eyed innocence look down pat, but that only gets you so far. A pretty boy he may be, but out of the movies I've seen of his, none have proven a real acting ability. Most, however, cite Black Hawk Down as a fairly decent performance, which I haven't seen yet, so I'll give him that as a possible bonus.
