We adopted our daughter's cat, which we knew had a very bad litterbox avoidance problem. So we decided to buy Cat Attract before he even came into the household. We had some litterboxes of another well-known brand out for our other cats. They all wanted to use the Cat Attract. Not once has the adoptee avoided the litterbox and we've had him for 4 years. Cat Attract is more expensive but it's worth it and in every bag is a coupon for $1 off the next purchase .

My kitten definitely loves this litter, but she only loves to eat it. If I hadn't caught her eating it initially I'm sure she'd be dead. This litter CLUMPS, imagine what that would do inside a kitten's stomach and intestines! She's old enough (according to the packaging recommendations) to be using this litter. She doesn't have an issue with using her box, it's simply that I needed a kitten litter and wanted to get her off the shredded paper that I currently use. I'm convinced there has to be some sort of cat nip in this. After I emptied the litter from the box, she jumped back into the box and was digging madly to find this litter again! I've attempted it multiple times, weeks apart, but the eating issue remains. Just be forewarned and watch your kitten when he/she begins using this litter to ensure that no consumption is going on.

I give it 10 stars because of the GREAT results we have had. We have a female spayed cat that for some reason quit using her litter box. We were on the verge of taking her to a shelter due to her constant pottying in the house. We obtained Cat Attrat at the shelter, brought it home and before I could even get the litter box situated in it's place, she jumped in and did her business. We have had no more problems with her and she is not going to any shelter. By the way, the employee at the shelter said she would have been euthanised because of her problem and being unadopttable. Thank God for this wonderful product!!!!!

This litter is a cat saver. Don't give up on your cat if they go outside of their box. As soon as I replaced the litter with Cat Attract and removed the litter box lid on one of the boxes, the accidents (or "on purposes") stopped, and we were having daily clean ups before. I can even tell that two of my cats are happier and calmer now. And, the odor control is pretty decent. I 100% recommend this product.

This stuff is AMAZING. As soon as I brought it home I took a rest because I've been a bit ill, and my cats were all over the bag, trying to get into it. I poured some into the first litter box over their old litter, and my male cat got right in and did the smallest urination I've ever seen him do. He's not a sprayer, he simply WANTED to use the box. After that my youngest, and the problem cat did HER business in it. Please note that she hasn't done a poop in any of the litter boxes in over two weeks. No medical issues, simply didn't want to. She pooped right away in this stuff! I was going to give it a test run in one litter box, but after I saw how well they responded to the first one, I poured out a second litter box and filled it with ONLY the cat attract. All THREE of my cats went and used it! This stuff is truly amazing and it REALLY WORKS! I was so skeptical, but I am now a buyer for LIFE.

My cats seemed to like Dr. Elsey's when I tried it. Sadly, I can't get it anywhere in town or close by.

This litter is the best. I buy it from Petsmart. It has a $1.00 off coupon in each bag. My cats had no problems with me switching to it.

Dr. Elseys Cat Attract KILLED my two cats and put me $1400.00 in debt where I tried to save them.

I was not impressed with this litter. I have 2 kittens and they do not use their litter box 100% of the time like Cat Attracts claims. They seemed to like cheaper litter I bought at Walmart and used that all the time and when I switched to Cat Attract they didn't seem to like it. They seem to have a few accidents now with this litter.

I had 2 cats that had to stay in a cage except for time out on the balcony or in the living room when I was in the room. Sometimes that didn't even work and they would urinate right in front of me on the floor, wall, pillows. I had to had my carpet replace hence reason I resorted to the cage. This litter really works. They are free to run around now. They really use it and I haven't found any accidents at all.

I have had a ragdoll for almost 3 years, and I've never been able to keep her using a box. I consulted my vet several times, I tried all kinds of different litter and different boxes. Nothing I tried work, she would poo right outside of the box on the floor around it. And she would pee on clothes or rugs in the bathroom. I just could not get her to use the litter box consistently. I finally bought cat attract 3 weeks ago. I have not had a mess yet! I had gotten so use to just cleaning her poo off the floor every day. Now she uses the boxes EVERY TIME. I didn't think it would work, but I've tried everything else so I decided to try it. I'm amazed. I don't understand what changed, the herbal stuff must really attract them. She also now covers her poo when she uses it, which she never has done before either. GREAT product, if you have a problem with your cat do try it!

We have had a purebred kitten for almost a year now, who up until we purchased Dr. Elsey's litter, had a bad habit of urinating on couches, blankets and even our bed. The vet gave us many different pieces of advice, none of which worked. We tried everything imaginable, and were told that she would stop having the problem after she was spayed. She didn't! We were so worried we would have to get rid of her. At last resort we bought Cat Attract and from day one, she has never urinated anywhere but her box. Amazing product, completely worth the money! It turned out 98% perfect cat into 100% perfect!! I highly suggest this litter to any family with a kitty with urination problems.

I agree wholeheartedly with the reviewer below. My sister gave me a cat some years ago as a "gift" (!?!) and although I'm more fond of dogs than I am of cats, I grew attached to it as time passed in spite of myself. During the last year or so, however, the cat, for whatever reasons, took to bypassing the litter box and relieving itself wherever it chose, nearly driving me crazy in the process. Nothing like getting up in the middle of the night to get a drink of water and stepping in fresh cat s**t. I'm not a cruel person, to animals or people, but I was nearly at the end of my rope and ready to throw the animal out the window when a co-worker who volunteers at an animal shelter recommended this stuff. It's not particularly easy to find (I think the store I bought mine from was called Petco), but well worth the effort if you're having similar problems with a cat and don't want to resort to such draconian measures as having the cat put to sleep or thrown out the window. For me, this product has worked like a charm. The cat uses the little box like a good little feline and the hostility between us has abated to the point where I'm not even concerned (much) about the couch she's shredded to bits, or the chair, or the plant she's chewed to pieces, or...

This litter saved a 4-month-old female rescue kitty from being taken to a shelter..... she refused to use any of the litter boxes I offered until I found this litter. She and I are both happy now, and she uses the box 100%.

Thank God for this stuff...keeps my kitten from soiling the carpet all the bloody time.

I have had several cats now for nine years. They're indoor cats and NEVER go out. I've tried many different types of litter - pine, wheat, corn, crystals and different types of clay. This on is the best one we've found for cat acceptability, low dust, easy scooping, AND price. My cats detested pine litter and let us know by defecating on our couch. The wheat and corn litter didn't clump as hard and would get gooey - hard to scrape off the bottom of the pan; the pans also got smelly rather quick. I didn't like the crystals, they either rolled everywhere or felt like walking on broken glass when outside of the pan, and again the smell problem happened rather quickly. With the Dr. Elsey's Cat Attract Cat Litter we don’t need to wash the pan but once every three weeks, which saves us money as we have a tendency to chuck what’s in the pan before washing. With the wheat and corn litters I had to wash them every week and that adds up to a lot of labor and a lot of $$$. We made the decision on Dr. Elsey’s after testing various (6) brands of clay cat litter and we very, very pleased with this one.

After having a cat who used the area next to his litter box as a toilet and who began soiling my carpets last month, I tried many different litter brands.
