I have always used this brand and will not use any other brand. This is the only brand that will back your engine for up to 300,000 miles. I know of no other company to do that. I would reccomended this product. Its a great product and I have noticed my car running cooler than it use to with other brands. Its also has a very competive price. Go with Valvoline!!!!

This is great stuff. I used DURAblend in my integra 93 I changed the oil in it every 2500 miles and at 123,000 Miles I took off the valve Cover and BAM! Clean as a whistle. I use MAXlife now because it is a high mileage formula. Highly Recommended!

my car has 170,000 miles on it and ive only changed the oil twice! both times with valvoline. when i changed it, i also took off the pan to replace the gasket and there was NO sludge! valvoline is awesome! i went over 80,000 miles between changes! awesome!

Been using Valvoline Synthetic Blend 5W-30 on my 99 Camry for about a year or more now. No problems. But once it hits 3000 miles, it definately needs to be changed right then and there because it starts to burn off like crazy. Great for the price.

I've been using Valvoline in my cars for years. Currently using Maxlife Synthetic Blend 5w30. It's good oil and the price is reasonable, just be sure and follow your car manufacturer's intervals for oil/filter changes, unless you are going full synth then I believe you can let it go a little longer. I'd say Valvoline is about equal to, or maybe a little better than Castrol in quality, both of which IMO are great, probably the best for the money.

almost as good as 'liquid schwartz.'

i've never had any sludge build up using 5w or 10w-30.i've recently switched to synpower @ 20k miles.i now have 60 k w no problems & still clean as a WHISTLE INSIDE.

I have been using Valvoline for over 41 years now. Back in High School all I drove were VW's (aircooled bugs ). I live in Texas and you know summers in Texas. Valvoline was the oil most of the VW mechanics recommended. Obviously it helps the valves on the bugs. I guess I'm still partial to good ole Valvoline.

Top quality Product, I use it in My Race car, my boat, and my day to day vehicles, never ever had a problem, not to mention well priced for a top quality product!
Vaggos 03/25/2008
My car runs better, smoother than any other oil I have used so far!

Oil is not very good in winter time if you have a vehicle thats not being driven too much.It gets a watery look to it after sitting for 6 months.Doesn't hold up to cold weather.
Mr.Tuner 02/19/2008
a pretty good product. just be aware that you shouldnt use this brand while your car is in the "brake in" phase. it cant take the beating. you will have to change the oil a lot more often! after that though it works just fine!
Guppiegirl 11/18/2007
Its ok, but the oil pressure in my car is lower with valvoline than with other motor oils.
ephuang 10/31/2007
That is great

It's an O.K. oil but not worth the higher price tag. Everybody seems to bake a big cake over it but I don't see what the big deal is. In my experience, Pennzoil worked the best out of all of them.

It is not all that bad. But how it is formulated it is not the best that is why I am giving it the low review. It will serve most people preposues just fine. But it is not the best.
lordjack 11/05/2006
I think it's the best

Q state should not be #1 it is bad, don't know about the Q but everything else sucks, Valvoline is the best practicle oil.
ttr77 12/29/2005
Best affordable oil on the market
226552 12/27/2005
In my opinion this is overall a good oil. Im not so sure it is the best oil and the reason why is because I think it may be a somewhat cheap oil because many auto shops use this oil and im pretty sure that the reason why many of them use it is because of how inexpensive it is. I have never talked to anybody who has said it is bad so it can't be that bad and it is #1 on this chart. I probably would say this may be the best oil if you are looking for a cheap and good quality oil, if you have a high performance car i don't know if i would put valvoline it it.
krazy j 11/30/2005
valvoline has been the greatest oil for me since i started racing.
5.7lt-1 11/25/2005
By far the best commonly known oil on the market. I have been using valvoline for years and not once have i had an oil related problem with any of my cars. I used to use quaker state until i had heard about how bad it was. I would reccomend valvoline to anyone who wants the best and nothing but the best.
123qwe 11/08/2005
Prpbably the second best oil out there behind castrol
itrouble 08/10/2005

plymthmn 07/23/2005
Is the only oil that I use in my wifes 2001 Cavalier. I will not use any thing else in her car.
