I saw Tim Floyd when he was coach of the UNO Privateers in the late 80's (or early 90's). He had a team w/o a player taller than 6ft 5in. and won the conference. He can flat out coach. He had comparable success later at Iowa State. He would have won more games with the Hornets if he had been kept on. The man who followed him sure (Byron Scott) sure hasn't gotten a lot done with that team. USC is gonna be a lot of fun to watch this year!

Trying to coach the overpaid pampered prima donnas of the NBA is a LOT different than coaching at Iowa State, huh Coach? Bad fit...

He had great talent in a weak conference and couldn't get it done. George Shin has got to be the worst owner in professional sports - he deserves every failure that comes to him. Paul Silas is three times the coach that Floyd is.

This was the worst decision that the Hornets could have made. Floyd is a high school coach - not NBA. He didn't have any plays, didn't have the confidence of his team and he just plain suck.

never seeing him in a winning team as a head coach. he spent first 4 years at BULLS losing, the only reason he became a head coach again in New orleans is because they fired Paul Silas, I wouldn't think he would be around much longer in hornets either
